I want us to play with 11 players from first minute, not 10 and wait for a tap-in, especially versus a Mazzari-approach.

We need players create something out of nothing. Plus, Keita record as a CF was excellent.

It isn't about hate or want to kick Icardi out or anything. It's personal idea about how to cope specific opponent.

If you watched how Torino played vs Roma some hours ago, you would get what I mean. If we field Icardi, you would see him flooded in that mess in the middle Mazzari created, then after match it's "not enough service" excuse over and over again.

That was exactly what happened last year as well, yeah the 0-1 lost vs them. Mazzari might be terrible at build up play, but he definitely knows how to isolate Icardi.

Not sure if I would do it or not, but if Skriniar is available by match day I wouldn't be shocked to see Miranda be the one dropped to the bench. At first I thought having Dalbert beside him was causing him to be all over the place but it got no better when Asamoah dropped in beside him. Definitely needs to wake up a bit.

Okay but that problem is fixed more by playing someone closer to Icardi, be that Perisic or Martinez or Keita, rather than dropping our main goal-scoring option. 3 CBs crowding out a lone striker, even one with brilliant movement like Mauro, is theoretically easy work. However, when it's 2 strikers things immediately become more difficult due to losing a point of reference if the two forwards begin inter-chaging positions, like we saw Icardi and Martinez do in the pre-season. Of course Martinez was disappointing today, be it because of the pitch or nerves or whatever, so this may not work as well in theory. Keita would make for a good SS to Icardi, but I fear his pace may be wasted in the middle like that.

That is how I would solve the problem of Icardi being crowded out of the attack, as I am loathe to bench one of our only consistent performers in the last 5 years.

Ideally, our wingers and CAM would rotate steadily throughout the game to create a more dynamic attacking line, seeing as we now have the personnel for it with Politano, Keita, Nainggolan, Martinez, Perisic and Karamoh. Remains to be seen though.
