the team missed a forward, as ibrahimovic played more like a playmaker than a forward. we need a real playmaker so that ibra can play as a forward.

yeah, that's pretty insane. Ibra is more of our playmaker, which he does quite well mind you, but that isn't supposed to be his job..

For a defender, that's rarely a coincidence, it's called BAD POSITIONNING.

I can't believe the slack you guys cut Cordoba here, I loved him and won't forget those tears at the Euro derby, but it's time for him to be on the bench.

It's a stupid notion to have 'slow' defenders especially against a team who have very fast players such as asamoah... Or is that beyond mancini's intellect?

Well i agree that he should have played Chivu instead of eather Samuel or Cordoba. Guy trust his players, but hopefully he will not play them together anymore after this, maybe in coppa.

Nothing wrong with the team's shape or anything else. Our problems started only after JC's red card. And without Cordoba own we could've won this.

We lost this game because of stupid indvidual mistakes.

When were playing the eleven men we actually were creating chances and we had some links. Cruzs opportunity notably.

After what I will call the " Ceasar Incident " we had nothing going creatively definitely I will give you, and it was compounded by the fact Stankovic had a dreadful second half. What Mancini tried to do is isolate Suazo and let Ibra apply the creativity.

It didn't work.

If I were Mancini I would've only replaced Suazo for Ibra OR not at all. Leave Suazo on the bench. Just play with one striker.

Jimenez would've been nice, but Mancini is a scared child.

EDIT: Let me also add Samuel today was excellent. Cordobas usefulness in big matches is non existant, he should play Coppa only.

Guys we have a majorproblem not for this match only. The team attitude in midfield and the quality of players in midfield it is a two fold problem. Mancini is the root cause for the second cause and partialy responsible of the first cause.
Let meeloborate - the team startegy on thedefesive phaseistoretreat and play zone defence on all games ( were man marking defence is a must againest certain teams aka roma gough Totti) and we should defed actively at least in our own half look for Milan againest Liverpool in the CL final they are too slow compared to Liverpool but they defend actively and run a lot in their own half.
On the second Issue Mancini should request the right type ofplayers on our midfield which was higlighted many times especiallll20when we were nocked out by Valencia - look at our pre season inEngland againest teams that play fast football. SO MY CONCLUSIONS ARE MANCINI DID NOT LEARN FROM HIS MISTAKES AND HE IS HERE FOR FOUR YEARS - HE GOT ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD AND IS NOT UP TO THE TASK - REPLACE HIM OR WE WILL SEE A HUMILATING SEASON.

Cruz was invisible, when we were down 10-men i thought that it would be just the same since we've been playing 10-men since 1st half, but why every players passed the ball inacurately, especially stankovic.

Good God! Dude at least read some match reports before blatantly telling us you didnt watch the game and then making these stupid comments.

Cordoba didn't start himself, did he?

The least he could have done was manned up and said " I am fucking trash and dont deserve to play on this team, sorry for wasting your time boss."

I dont even fault Cesar for the red card. Sure it was stupid but he was left to hang out to dry by Samuel who ultimately should be smashing Cordoba in the face for being so out of position.

The first half we looked like a decent top team but even before everything began to go wrong for us we were showing signs of weakness. When fatigue starts creeping in on players around minute 40 something is seriously wrong w/ your fitness program.
