Hello Interfriends,

Well after being away on Business for the past 3 months in Dubai and Abu Dhabi I have gone through detox without weekly Serie A Coverage. I could not wait until today to finally see my beloved Inter once again. Unfortunatly I forgot that Parma is our Black Cat of sorts and a team that Inter always have trouble beating at the Tardini.Today was not exception as Parma wins 1-0.

Inter suffer their 6th loss of the season and are now losing grasp on the all important 2nd place finish ahead of Milan. With the World Cup this summer and players running out of steam after a long season Champions League qualifiers are the last thing Inter need in early August.

Inter start th match well with Stankovic and J. Zanetti doing a great job on the right wing but all there good work of runs and crosses are for not as Adriano the target man in the area is playing the worst football of his life, and its killing this Inter side. It gave Parma the time needed to settle into the match and after 15 minutes of Inter pressure not resulting in any type of attempt on goal Parma were able to start counter-attacking led by Marchioni and Bresciano.

Inter though still held most of the ball but with no conviction from the fowards Adriano and Recoba this Inter side had no outlet for the possesion created and resorted to long range shots from the outside by the midfielders. What has happened to Inter's attack?? Adriano is a former shell of himself and Recoba is continuing on his trend of playing a great game (Last week against Lazio) only to disappear for the next 10 as he barely had a shot on goal in the half.

At the 39th minute of the first half its Parma that decides the match as Corradi who may have been offside gets a pass down the left and crosses into the area. Wome misses his control/clear giving Simplicio the ball in the small area and he easily slots his shot past Toldo to make it 1-0.

The 2nd half starts with Parma looking the stronger side and its Toldo who has to come up large to save a close range effort from Corradi and then Bresciano has 3 long range shots that Toldo does well to save to keep Inter in the hunt. Inter settle in and begin to pin Parma in ther half but with Adriano pulling his close range header to the wrong side of the post and Recoba not finalizing his chances its difficult to break through.

When Inter do get an attempt the Parma Keeper is up to the task and made a few good saves to keep the shutout. In the end Inter produce some long range efforts a free kick by Recoba that is well saved and 15 corner kicks none of which are converted. Mancini tries to change his forces and takes off Adriano for Cruz and Wome for Martins but it does little to impact the match.

The best chance falls to Cambiasso at the 90th minute who takes a glancing header from the right side by Cesar and directs it to the far left corner but Bucci is equal to the task and makes a diving save to preserve the Parma win.

Its a scary thought but Inter's attack which was so much the strong point of this team is the one area that is failing this side. Overall Inter played well in the match and in past matches both in Defence and Midfield but with Adriano way out of form the goals just are not arriving.

I hope someone brings there shooting boots to the Champions League this week as our only target left this season could soon slip away if we cannot put the ball into the net and regain the attacking form of this side and above all Adriano!

Despite the loss glad to be back home and part of the forums!

Due to a mistake by our LB we got pwned. Recoba who was looking to add to his 2 goal tally from last weekend, was just as crap as Adriano. Our keeper was MOM for us.

Now it's the story of Inter this season. Good job Ed.
