Are those rebels separatists? Murderers like the ones in Colombia? because if they are that is a real shame that we are even assisting them with moral. Since I don't know them I can't say much but I just hope they are not terrorists harming the inocent by stander.

Mate their ideals seem to be just and something that one would be supporting but that is how groups like ELN and FARC started in Colombia and have since corrupted, become part of the drug trade and terrorise the campsinos and indios.

EZLN seems to have stuck to their principles at least for now and I hope they do for the sake of their ideal and the people.

Cheers for the info too my friend, I guess Javier does know them well to support such cause.

ELN and FARC are a whole different thing though...ELN and FARC have a rightwing militia group to handle too, besides both groups are also involved in various drug wars..

that's all not the case with them..

what these guys care for is more independence and better living quality for the Chiapas Indians...they don't seize for power.

That is a romantic ideal. Let hope they do indeed achieve a better quality of living.

About FARC and ELN what do you mean they have rightwing groups within? They started as communists and if they have gone to the right then have they now done a U turn which shows how corrupt they are. I never understood why Germany fancied them 15 years ago.
