Honest question - what does anyone on here have any clue about Internazionale's F.C.'s finances to have a thread about it? :)

P.S. I might convince the wifey to sign up seeing many people have asked about her. I sent my regards by the way.

No. When I say worry, I mean worry as in 'these guys are just bullshitting and arent going to buy those shares after 6 months of agreeing they will'.

I dont want them to join the board, but right now it seems like it will happen. However, I'm not (yet) too worried that it will fall through. If it doesnt happen within the next 2 months, then I start to worry/be glad.

Well the AGM results are reasonably public, for one.

Fucken Asians aye.

Seriously though, I forgot whether the Chinese board members to be are a group or not. The only one I know of is Kenny fucking Huang and I don't want the fuck anywhere near our club. If the others are somehow legitimate, then I more then welcome their investment.

What is an AGM? Pardon my French.

Annual Guild Meeting. Where Moratti talks to co-owners and investors and interested parties about the financial state of Inter, how much we lose in a season, how much money we need to inject to keep the club solvent, etc. Its not as public as it would be for a proper plc (like United), but Inter choose (or maybe its law in Italy, I dont know) to have them reasonably public.

I wouldnt doubt the financial numbers quoted. Put it like that.

Now I'm making shit up, but from his past dealings I imagine the other two are puppets for him. The general way he works is that he manages the venture, raises (or not!) capital from outside investors, and claims most of the glory for himself. He's an unheard of player in Asia, no one knows him, he has no real money. The other two will most likely be puppets as part of his company (the board seats will be going to the company, not the individual people, so if they go against anything he says, he can just fire them and replace them)

With the Inter loss of ~80 million euros today, it means we need to have a break-even season this season, and next season we need to make 35 million euros.

That means, all in, we need a swing of 125 million euros on our results we reported today to make European football after 2015. With the loss of CL revenue for this year, it means we need to double our income in the next 2 years.

Though in this case, even winning the Treble again would mean jackshit towards us financially. There's no way the prize money can cover up all those red numbers.

I'm not sure about the other clubs' numbers but I'm pretty sure that we are not the only one in deep shit. Hopefully this stupid FFP rule will eventually be thrown in the bin.

Moratti was one of the biggest supporters of FFP, he definitely does not want it to be thrown in the bin. There are some loopholes in FFP though, for instance, the contracts signed before 2010 do not count towards the losses.

Im sure the stadium will bring us a lot of profit bacause we wont have to pay to rent the meazza. What we really need to do is brand this team outside of italy to get some more profit in.

what we should have done, but didnt, was to exploit winning the treble more. sponsor contracts should have been re-negotiated, merchandising should have been pushed much harder, we should have gone on a tour of Asia THAT season. We should have signed one or two players to keep us at the top level.

We couldn't go on tour to Asia that season because we had no coach until quite late in the summer. Also, in that season we haven't got much sponsors from Asia, certainly not the one from Indonesia who sponsored the tour to Indonesia.

If at one side the revenues will drop due to CL and broadcasting rights, we have done quite a job in saving up wages this transfer window.

browha, would there be a significative change on your comparison comparing with these new numbers?

My numbers are way more healthy looking than this. I knew I'd be overshooting from the start, because I didn't take into account things like amoritzation from previous transfers, maybe was a bit generous on the commerce loss, and tbh, I thought the prize money and tv revenue were pretty much wrapped up together.

So missing out tv revenue cost me 45 million over our real budget already. people like motta will have been transfered at a slight profit, so their value there is over-stated, reflecting the cash cost of them rather than the book affect (Note, thats why we post a loss of 80 million but only need 30 million recapitalization)..

Still, even I'm shocked how much worse than expected it was. Even with the TV revenue i wouldnt have expected more than 60m off - so withouti the TV revenue 15m - but theres another 20 down there somewhere.

So can we confirm now that we lost all the money we gained from selling Eto'o and not finding a replacement?

if we assume that having etoo this season would have gotten us back into the CL, the money we saved by selling him would have been paid off AND THEN SOME.

the invalid assumption that was made, was that we could still compete at the same level without the same players. clearly not true.
