Yeah and then comes the will of the players. Do let's say Bastoni or Barella want to move (physically move) to England to play football instead of Milano, Italy? They are gods here right now, do they wan to make that switch, possibly risk their statuses? I'm pretty sure Barella won't but I'm pretty sure Bastoni won't either. He's at the top of his world at the moment, he's at his sweet spot. He should tell his agent to shut the fuck up about his stupid analogies of companies making profits or losses.
And yeah, these guys deserve the raises and they will definitely get the raises. It's the general idea here that they should not take ANY hit of the COVID apart from getting their salaries paid a bit later. It's not like most of the clubs in Europe can pay the salaries (these big ones these guys like Inter players get). There are handful of those clubs, mostly subsided by criminally acquired money (City, PSG, Chelsea...). Not many clubs are so well managed financially who do not have sugar daddies behind them and can pay salaries Inter pay (Bayern, United anyone else???).
And IF it ends up being some month of salaries not getting paid until few years, it's probably fine for the club. Why talk to the reporter about this thing when it's all not decided yet, it's a negotiation. I'm really fucking pissed at this BS that they have the need to talk this out loud, publicly because reporters will continue having a field day over this subject and it adds fuel to the fire when the agent opens his mouth regarding this subject.
