So basically, wera's going to get a martyr-like hero's welcome back, because he acted like a little bitch and blackmailed the community into banning another member, or else there wouldn't be anymore podcasts.
I mean, that's basically what's happening here.

And "bullied"? Please. That's small change compared to the shit members like crdz and wickedwizard have to endure basically everytime they post. I know VIP is a little special, and some of his posts make me cringe, but hell, wera is the exact same way, at least in my opinion - the only difference being, that he's an established and a well-known member, while VIP was a nobody.
Wera did what he did because he knew that VIP would get banned, or else the podcast would be gone. And he was proven right. Sad.

And "suspicious IP"? That could mean a lot of things, but it just doesn't sound like proof to me. And it's possible he actually was a secondary account and the ban was justified, but the opposite could also be true.
It's not my job to interfere in who is welcome on FIF and who's not, but this smells like bullshit to me.

I dont know the full details of what happened so I'm not going to comment on the situation in specific, but SOMEONE said that there was some light stalking or something.

If someone is going to the length (again, I dont know if this is what happened, but hypothetically) of 'doxxing' someone who posts on this forum in a stalker/abusive manner, then that is something that DOES need to be punished.

I do agree, though, that if we are banning someone for a second account, there is a clear standard of proof there. It shouldnt be 'on balance of probability it was a second account', but rather, reasonably justified suspicion. I'm thinking back to Ojap for example.


However, if it is true that Wera was hounded out by the guy stalking him (again ,havent seen the infringing posts, so not commenting on that, but IF that is true) then a ban isnt exactly unjustified.

Wicked and crzd get some abuse - in my opinion justified but that's not necessarily relevant - but it's a different thing to doing something like posting their names and addresses online (As an example).

He was using a proxy server and seemed to know what was what from post one. Plus he clearly had a trolling agenda. I couldn't say with 100% certainty that he was a secondary account, but I feel chances are that he was.

Anyway, that was my perspective, and that's why I banned him.

Just out of interest, how do you know its a proxy server? Does the IP trace to a popular proxy server host or something?

I Think using a proxy server in itself on FIF is reasonable assumption for guilt, but maybe thats just me.

When I was in China for a shorter period I had to use proxies for youtube, mail, facebook ect. I thereoften just kept being logged on in the GoAgent addon (a proxy finding thing) that I used for other websites aswell. I don't think FIF is blocked in China but keep logging in and out can be annoying. Using a proxy can therefore in specific cases make sense considering China, North Korea ect.
