Could be a rocky start boys.... :nervous:

It definitely will be... Viola have strong team, they start with point deducatioun, so they have to play more than good to finish good this season...

Okay this is Roma final squad.

----------------------------32-Doni-------------------------
---------------------------(1-Curci)-------------------------

-2-Panucci------5-Mexes-----13-Chivu--------3-Martinez-
(77-Cassetti)-(21-Ferrari)-(19-R.Defendi)-(22-Tonetto)-

-------16-De Rossi------7-David Pizarro-----20-Perrotta----
-------(14-Faty)----------(8-Aquilani)----------(18-Rosi)------

--30-Mancini-------------------10-Totti----------------------
-(11-Taddei)-----------------(25-Okaka)------------------
-------------------------23-Vucinic--------------------------
------------------------(9-Montella)------------------------

Definitelly... This is the best squad Roma can get... And look at the players, most of tham are young, and great fitire players, wich besides being young, have good experiance. I think Roma will chalange us for the title hard... The only problem is that they haven't got good subs for the defence IMO. First choise is one of the best in Europe, but the subs sucks... Who the hell is Defendi!? And Casseti?

Rodrigo Defendi is a guy from Tottenham, only 19 years old from Brazil, i don't know him.
Cassetti was one of best Lecce players this 2 last years, a right back or right winger.
The guy who sucks is Ferrari, i rate Kuffour (on loan to Livorno) higher than him.

It's nice you bought Oliveira, Max, but know that he is not Sheva. And he never will be.
Well, You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that, do you? ;)

How do you expect Milan fans to be happy when they lost their best player? And bought Favalli :p:lol:? This was not good summer for you Milanistas, and I'm damn happy about that...:p:D

I wouldn't say it was bad, rather not spectacular..Inter had a hot summer, however don't forget that bringing many big names doesn't necessary result with success..You might have yet another deja vu this season..

BTW - Why is Matrix included in the starting lineup from Gazzetta? Is that a typo? :wth:

And who should partner Samuel in defence. I think Materazzi is good option, untill he proves opposite

Cordoba looked ACE at the Tim trophy, we can't really do without him at the moment.

I think there's a strong chance that 2-3 years from now, Gourcuff will be looked at as the best transfer in Italy this year. That guy has tons of talent. Though, as far as players that will contribute much this season, you're pretty much right. I wouldn't say the transfer period was a bad one (all of the additions have been fine, there just weren't as many as I'd have hoped), but it certainly wasn't amazing.

Yeah but who's gonna sit on the bench and let Gourcuff get used to serie a? Seedorf? If so, help you god :D

Milan can only hope that Pirlo won't have a shitty season like last year.

Dida, from being the best keeper in the world after Buffon, has now become a source of doubt and lack of confidence, which is exactly what a keeper doesn't want to be.

Your defence is terribly old, you started paying the price last year when Cafu and Maldini got injured, and it took them months to come back.

Nesta is the youngest but he got injured at the World Cup, they were saying he was coming back in a week, he's barely fit now.

Kaladze is a disaster waiting to happen, he can be solid but he can screw up big time too.

Kaka' looks more and more selfish everytime I see him play, latest example when he was so stubborn against Red Star and wanted to go for goal himself, while Seedorf was totally free a couple of metres behind him, and it took a lucky rebound on a defender to give Seedorf the goal.

Gilardino has been struggling to score since he joined you, he cannot score a goal in a big game, no european goals. Now that Sheva has left, he will expect to be considered the main striker for Milan, and still he has to compete with Inzaghi, who can turn shit into goals, and now Borriello, who seems to be quite on form. Bench Gila and you got yourself a huge problem to deal with. Oliveira is a huge gamble, he needs to adapt to Serie A, it's all to be seen if he can, and what he can achieve.

You still have players like Simic and Jankulowski in the squad, looking at more bench/stands time, surely not exactly in love with Carletto Ancelotti.

The Milan fans aren't exactly happy about Fester transfers campaign, especially because he got screwed by Inter both with Zlatan and Crespo.

You surely are conteders, but you have your fair share of problems.

Maybe, we will see.... But I believe we will be the champs, to enjoy the title in the real wat, not like 2006 title... We will see you in the big derby, where you will lose, you don't have Sheva to score against us...:p

You make many good and correct points. Don't get me wrong, I don't see Milan as invincible, and the season will be a rough one if certain things prove not to be true.

First, I think Cafu needs to start a majority of the games. Perhaps 25 or so. Or, he needs to hold up until Oddo comes in January if that happens (as I suspect it may). He only played 19 games last season, but his form has looked great so far and with an older defense and worse offense he could be huge.

Second, Nesta must be healthy. If he misses too many games or plays below his level, Milan will allow far too many goals. They were the third best defense in Serie A last season, one goal behind Inter and second discounting Juve, but Bonera alone cannot offset aging of everyone and an injury to Nesta.

Third, the strikers must play well together. Whichever two of Gilardino, Inzaghi, or Oliveira start must score goals, though not at the clip that Shevchenko and company did last year. They scored 85 last season, which is ridiculous, and only a portion of those are truly necessary. If Inzaghi can remain healthy and play perhaps 20-25 games like Cafu, I'll have no worries. If he goes down, as he is apt to do, Milan better have a target for January or Boriello better step up big. I also think Kaka' will continue to improve, and I would not be surprised to see another 14+ goal season from him. That would help immensely.

If everyone plays even a little below their expectation, I think Milan can still safely remain in 2nd place. If Inter plays poorly, they would even have a shot at 1st like that. However, they need to play at least as well as they should in order to have a shot at 1st, and Inter playing well would do a lot to dampen their chances.

I will be satisfied with 2nd place, and I am optimistic about first. Of course, a team like Roma could get hot and spoil it for one or both teams. I think Milan is also much better suited to the Champions League this year rather than a 38 match league season.

Roma never cease to amaze me, they were really bad the last 2 years which also included the first half of last year, then all of a sudden with the same team they rise up from the ashes and become new record holders of the most numbers of wins in Serie A and now are title contenders, really ture respect to our Capital rivals

Yeah, you're right, I always respected Mazzone but I'm so tired of hearing people saying that they're annoyed to see the Scudetto on Inter shirts, what the phuck, how can you be annoyed by that?

First of all, we didn't even ask for it, second, if you want to be annoyed, look at what Moggi said and did, look at how he affected so many teams and people in Serie A, fans, credibility and so on. And finally, if you don't cheat, you get the prize when the bandits are found with their hands in the cookie jar.

Some people have the nerve to say such bullshit...

I'll be very honest here, considering I've spent months surrounded with people who work within sports. Not a single one consider our Scudetto a real one. I've had to take a lot of crap for it. :p

So indeed, I fail to consider us champions of last season. It's just too phucked up.

I consider us champs all the way. And I really couldn't care less what fans of other teams have to say about it. They haven't been through what we went through so they have no right to judge us.

I consider us to be the Champions but I didn't and will not celebrate the Scudetto as I consider our team to be not good enough to be considered Champions, even if situation changes and Serie A is a clean league in 05/06.

But it's a victory for Calcio as a whole that Juventus is stripped of their title and Milan penalised and for that, I'm happy.

Maybe they want us to win the Italian way, cheat and bribe!

And Mazzone should shut up. He claims to be an Inter fan but he is a big liar. He wants to please the big boys so that he may have a job. Go and coach the senior center's soccer team grandpa, last time you coached you screwed up big time.

It's really hilarious, doesn't he remember what Moggi tried to pull in that final game @ Perugia? I remember someone (Frisko I think) posting a post that some alleged that Moggi tried (and may succeded) in bribing Mazzone so that they lose the game, but God had another say!

I think this No.14 is only for history and statistic. We should we the Scudetto on the pitch and make it No.15 this season :interscarf:

Who's my favour
It's going to be very weird but on the other hand very interesting season.

For the first time, we won't be able to see Derby d'Italia which is particulary sad and disappointing.

On the other hand, there is one and obvious leader to win the Scudetto - Inter. When Milan is point-deducted, Roma isn't so strong it looks like they've got easy way for the shield. But it really is so? One of my mates said that if they don't win it now they'll never win it.

Hopefully this new, upcoming season will be full of emotions and we will be able to see Juventus back in Serie A as soon as possible. :)
