One who is missing in this article is Luca Toni, he was also there before becoming "a legend" at Fiorentina.

I don't know what Sarri was expecting when he decided to join Lazio. Lotito was never going to change his ways. And that's why he was so pissed with Inter taking Inzaghi. He had finally found a good coach who never complained about lack of transfers, even when he was given Akpa Akpro and Muriqi. Lotito had delayed talks about an extension with Simone only because he didn't want to give a raise to Inzaghi at an earlier date than he had to.

Instead he lost him and had to replace him with the only good coach available at the time who's also very inflexible when it comes to the types of players that fit his system. Lazio always needed a squad overhaul to fit Sarri and they aren't willing to do it. Sarri and Lotito were always supposed to be a bad combination.
