I don't think Joao Mario is alternative to either of those, Jesus and Pjaca are extremely offensive wingers while Joao Mario is an all round midfielder that can play on the side if necessary.

I would be very excited if we get him, he looks like a real deal.

First of all, with Mancini you never know.

Second of all, I wasn't trying to imply that they are similar. My point was that, if we splash 30 million on this guy, it would be highly unlikely to get another high-profile signing. Just like last summer, we are going to sign only one epxensive signing and I prefer it to be either G. Jesus or Pjaca, not J. Mario.

Pjaca is almost a Gobbi player, you can forget him.

I don't trust GdS...they are a fucking tabloid this days

is there any newspapers who get it right allways???

Of course not. Newspapers report RUMOURS. Rumour is a piece of information some reporter has collected from his sources (whatever those sources are). If they are reporting that Inter is interested in player X, that might quite well be correct. But it's just that, newspaper has told Inter is interested in player X or has bid for X sum for player Y.

It's the end of it and we should not take these piece of information anything more. And most probably all these rumours are NOT true.

ANYTHING should be taken with a pinch of salt when it comes to calciomercato so it's funny to say "I don't trust this paper". Well, which newspaper you trust then? And how the trust is earned? Even if GdS tells one summer ALL things correct (Inter bid for this player, Inter interested in this player etc.) it does not mean anything since all kinds of things can happen after those things reported have happened. They just reporting things they have heard. It does not mean they tell us that Inter WILL buy this player. The tone of their stories of course is sometimes that Inter WILL buy this player but it does not mean it.

If you keep up with the Italian sports media almost every day like I do then you would know that they are getting worse and worse with their bs reports
I blame social media like Twitter and similar sites for the drop of quality reports
GdS isn't what it was anymore...
They were more credible about Inter in the past, the majority owner of GdS and RcS mediagroup now is Ellkan the Rube and Fiat owner
You can find it funny all ya like...

Before you would find the odd good paper who would properly check their sources. Now its a competition to see who can break the story first so they publish whatever they hear as quickly as possible.

The public is responsible for that. People don't want credible sources - they want a steady stream of whatever content to keep them entertained. See enjoy for example, the guy just loves a rumour, doesn't matter even if it isn't even remotely credible, if not pure fantasy.

well, this is partly true. i mean, if a site like gazzetta says that we are very close to joao mario and then Inter don't sign him, it is the gazzetta to blame for writing it and not the reader for believing it, because a newspaper should never write such things unless they have credible sources and they're sure about it. but if the next time i still believe their crap, then i'm the one to blame, because i have been warned by the previous experience that they are just fibbers.

That is exactly the wrong attitude. Gazzetta can write that if they think that Inter is very close to sign Joao Mario. If they don't say that Inter signed Joao Mario, then they are not claiming that Inter signed Joao Mario. How's that even something to blame for? Very close is not the same as signed. It's a piece of information that Inter is very close to sign the player. It's not a piece of information that Inter has signed the player.

edit. If you guys want only "Inter signed this and this" you should just follow inter.it. It's simple as that.

it is not the same, but almost. when they say "very close" or the like, it sounds to me that the player and the two teams already have an agreement and if at the end we don't get the player, then gazzetta must give a very solid reason why it ended that way.

And usually they do. Actually, they always do, there is always the next rumor which tells the newer events of the situation.

Watching Joao play right now in the finals, he seems to be at ease at any of the offensive midfield positions plus can track back and win the ball as well. Not an out and out winger, he still has a mean cross as well. Hasnt taken a long range shot so cant really say about that. Ive been struck by his footbaling intelligence though, knows exactly where all his teamates are, and can distribute the ball very smartly. I think he is a Brozovic type player, dont see both of them playing in the same 11.

Yeah and if he's so damn expensive, even selling Brozo for over 30m€ wouldn't benefit us at all (basically swapping Brozo for Joao Mario).

See him playing. If Brozo worth 30M, he is worth 30M too. And He looks like less a trouble maker out side of the pitch.
For purely financial reason (similar as Kdog-kovacic deal) to replace Brozo with him, Seems not a decrease of quality.

He has had a wonderful final. I agree with others assessments above though. I don't see him as a solution to for our RW. More like another Brozovic, perhaps more athletic though.
