This guy is an absolute pillar for this squad. Please, please, please keep him for next year. When he's in form, he's simply incredible and he and Skriniar are something to behold together. It takes a walking calamity (Santon), a corrupt referee and a man disadvantage for the supposed best team in Italy to get something past them. Barzagli, Benatia, Howedes, Chiellini, they can all go fuck themselves.

Only concern for him is he might be a different player after the WC. Although, he looks like an extreme professional so I wouldnt expect him motivation to drop too much. I'd gladly have him here next year. We are going to need 3 top CB's with EL.

If we land De Vrij, Miranda should be fine to recover from the WC exertions during the beginning of the season seeing as we'd start a Skriniar-De Vrij duo. Miranda and De Vrij can then rotate for the spot based on form, and Vanheusden+Bastoni should be enough to provide further cover. Motivation could be an issue, but I think just the notion of not being an automatic starter anymore could be enough to spur him to remain in form.

Sad that we're talking about the EL again, but any step forward is a good one I guess.

MILAN - Inter defender Joao Miranda underwent MRI tests this morning at the Istituto Clinico Humanitas in Rozzano after reporting an issue during the warm-up on Sunday ahead of the Udinese match.

The tests didn’t detect anything serious. Miranda has tightness in the adductor muscles of his right thigh. His condition will be evaluated day by day.

For me, he is our player of the season, even better than Skriniar. They were both brilliant but i think he is more important currently, so cool calm and collected. Renew him for a year without doubt

Skriniar has been better over the season, but Miranda found a new gear in the final few games, where his experience and cool head proved priceless. I'm so glad we had the both of them this year.
