I suspect this was a transfer to keep Inzaghi happy after Lukaku was sold. Its still a stupid reason. I was crying for Vlahovic, it would have been so cool if we had invested some of Lukaku money on him instead. Martinez/Sanchez + Vlahovic/Dzeko would ve been a brilliant strike force. We wasted 35m on Correa, Vlahovic would've cost 70m. We had the money. Fuck Suning.

Where you getting that from? Vlahovic would have walked all the way to San Siro to join Inter if we had made a push for him last summer. His agent was making the right noises, the kid is ambitious like hell. We didn't. Ultimately only Juve (& Arsenal) did. He chose with his head, like most ambitious young players.

He refused Atletico who was spanish champion and explicitly said that he only wants to go to rube. You should google what was happening in last 6 months with Vlahović.

My friend, I am more than an average consumer of transfer news. I'm that guy who maintains the mercato tracker here, remember? Last summer, I had said that I would be ok if Inter sold Lukaku only if we invest those funds to get Vlahovic + Raspodori. Hence I was very keenly following all news on both those players. I can assure you that Vlahovic was keen on an Inter move, not coz he is an Inter fan, but coz he only wanted to move to a top club in Italy from Fiorentina. His agent made the right noises in the media to that effect.

Infact even as late as Dec-Jan when Arsenal wanted him, he & his agent leaked to the press that Inter and Juve are the only possible destinations for Vlahovic. Only when Juve made a concrete effort did he push for them. If Inter had made a concrete effort before that, we would have got him. We just didn't want to spend that money.

He had a good game today. Verona midfield was open and there was huge space and he injected the pace we needed.

On Vlaho, he didn't reject Atletico it was Commisso who rejected their offer and he also rejected an offer from us according to the media as we've offered 50. Commisso thought he would renew and that's why he rejected all offers. The player didn't reject any offer in the summer. My point was there's always something missing after he gets the ball. He gets it, dribbles nicely forward, but the pass or end product is just fucked up. More Udinese game stuff, less these useless passes or dribbles to dead end.
