Disappointed. Wasn't expecting Obi to become some world beater but I think he could have been very useful. Even Strama has always said he rates Obi highly and it was apparent when we were considering sending Juan on loan to Napoli as part of a deal for Lavezzi but refused to use Obi as a makeweight.

He's played what, 2 matches this season? :palm:

If somehow (with all the needed respect) this kid dies people will think he is injured , that's how many matches this kid has lost without anyone fucking knowing wtf he has and how he got it.

I think Inter.it should post a picture of him every month or so holding up the current days newspaper just to prove he's actually alive.

He is worse than Pato tbh. It always says "minor" injury, and is gone for at least a month. Comes back, plays 1-2 games, get's "minor injury" again, and is gone for 1-2 months. Put it that in for loop 0 to n, and n is not given.

What's frustrating is that this is where he's supposed to gain experience.. and so far he's lagging behind his learning curve.

If he doesn't pull a Van Persie and magically stop being injured all the freaking time, then I still have hope for him.

he should go out on loan next season. with our new influx of midfielders, theres no way he's getting anything like 30 games next year, and thats exactly what he needs to develop.

I agree a loan would be for the best, but honestly I don't even think he even has much of a future as midfielder here, he's never going to replace Kova or Guaro and he doesn't have the characteristics to play as a strict DM like say Duncan could. IMO I see him more as a utility fullback/wingback, used occasionally in midfield when needed.

I don't think so. If he can take some time wihout injuries, he has everything to make an immediate impact to our game.

What i see him as a player: Great attitude, knows how to use his body, aggressive in tackles and fight for the ball, good passing skills and full controll of the ball at his feet, speed, confidence in being able to proove himself at a big club. For sure he can improve in every section, but for me he is absolutely above average because he got some type of complete game in young ages.

If i remember right, he was used to play an more offensive part in some primavera games. I see him able to play nearly all Positions in midfield, but stronger on left side than right, but best in CM or LCM.

In the primavera he was a killer (times i saw him) and he continued right that way, hen he was brought into the first team. Look at other players, who dominate in primavera league, but struggle to make the next step to senior football. There are always talented ones, who make ist later, but need about 2 years to make that step. Only looking on our youngest players, there are for example Stevanovic, Destro, Caldirola, Bonucci, ... who needed to make their way over Serie B (or dutch league) to make that final step in developement. Especially at our side that number of young players that make that is little: Balotelli and in some parts Santon, thats it.
So that Obi made it to his number of appereances at 19 and 20 is impressive and on top his performance showed why he got that chance.
Should be remembered, that he is only 21 of age. Other type of player, but if I look at Alvarez struggling at 24 Obi has aready shown that much, that he shpuld have credit struggling for the next 3 years. But he won't if that fuck row of injurys gets banned one time.No loan needed than.

I just sent him a tweet. Hope to get a response from him. It's quite a shame no one knows his present condition.

What injury does he really have?

Or he won't play till he accepts a new contract?

Quite unfortunate for this kid.. Now he's going to have a surgery according to reports. Not a possible return this season. Wishing Him a successful operation under the knives and a quick recovery too. TI AMO OBI
