I wouldn't be against it too be honest, next season we are going to be absolutely stacked in midfield we already got Kuz and Kova here plus you would assume Duncan and Laxalt will join the squad and then there's Benassi. Another option is at fullback but again we have a lot of players already and with possibly Jung/Peurzzi arriving and also Mbaye in the mix, hard to see him being anything but a fringe player at best.

At the very least a loan would be good, he's barely played in nearly 2 years, he needs to play a good 30+ games and prove he can last a whole season injury free.

The reason isn't that he is homegrown. He made it from Primavera to a part in the first team, because he has the quality to make it. Of course he is injured all the time at the moment. But he is 21. Let him get rit of these injuries and make a slow rehab. There is absolutely no need to hurry up or do sth stupid like sell him. Would be 100 times worse than selling Coutinho.
It isn't as if he is hurt 2,3 seasons in a row. He got problems nearly the whole 12/13 season, but that can happen sometimes. I'm far away from writing him off. Not fpr his injuries and for sure not because of Kuzmanovic or some other tip-kick player, or youths like the mentionend by "the eridictator". There is some way to go for Benassi and co to prove they can make an impact like Obi.
