Resignation

A bit surprised this finally happened although many had been speculating this marriage between Valdano & Mou was never going to work, from the beginning (I was in that camp too)

Valdano is too much of a class act to give any parting shots, like say Calderon would, but I would love to hear what he has to say about Mou - I bet it is juicy as all hell

Shame for RM, IMO...Valdano is a legend at the club & a class individual through & through...He has had great intentions with the club & wanted to instill continuity & structure where it had been lacking for many years...Problem isn't Valdano or a Sporting Director, in this case, the problem, apart from Mou, is Perez...He's learned nothing from either tenure as a President and ceded all control to Mou which is rather remarkable at a club like RM - they fire managers left & right (Including managers who have won CL, managers who even did better in La Liga than Mou - Pellegrini) and understand little about actual football

Perez is a business man and even that he made his billions at the expense of the Spanish people, tbh...He's not an innovator and is enamoured with money & I guess he believes Mou will be the one to help him cash in...But at what cost?...They've had scandals after scandals this season within La Liga - offending referees, the league & opposing managers...Not to mention the scandalous Clasicos of late...And then to kick to the curb a club legend in Valdano?...For a rent a manager in Mou?...He's sold his soul to the devil and will run to hide when he's ushered out as President eventually - but what will happen to the legacy of what they have done to Valdano?

Shameful really but we are talking about the circus that is the capital club
Funny how Perez was ridiculed as an idiot for not trusting his coach, firing Del Bosque after the won the La Liga. But now when he gives Mou, whose CV justifies all the control he deserves, all the power, you're ridiculing him.

Valdano has failed to topple Barca's grip in the La Liga for 3 seasons now. Mou came the closes to beating you guys in his first try. Scandal or not, the choice was an easy one.

Perez can be ridiculed for many things but sticking with a manager isn't necessarily one of them...It's sticking with one who he knows is not going to stick around while simultaneously rubbishing a club legend...That occurs perhaps at some clubs but not one that is supposedly steeped in the tradition that RM is...The list is pretty short of RM players/legends that are class acts, IMO, Valdano is one of them

So while it's true that Mou has had the most success in getting under Barca's skin & perhaps unsettling them (Certainly not from the football itself), at what cost is what I have long wondered...This is RM where their reputation is a big aspect of the club - a big reason why the move has sent shock waves throughout Spain

The flip side to this, of course, is that Mou won't have anyone else to blame (For now)...His act has been getting old, even in less than a season...I suspect this next season will be his last as I'm sure the board will not put up with Perez nevermind the antics Mou is sure to employ

Guys, an ignorant question if you will allow me. What is the general view at Madrid for Mou?

Love-hate relationship. If he manages to topple Barca next season he will be legend. Otherwise as usual the media will turn on him.

This remind me of Jose's first season with us.All Juve,Milan and Roma fans were whining about his behaviour.He won Serie A with us but everyone believed any coach would have won Serie A and Ibra was given all the credit.There were rumors about Moratti not been happy with CL loss to Man U and Mou would get sacked.But every one of them vanished after we won our games against Chelsea and Barca.Even Moggi and Johanna Curyff(attacking football my ass) looked like fools.

What fucking antics are you talking about? Why are people always making Mourinho out to be some kind of bad guy who only uses tricks and gimmicks to win?

Mou does not put up any type of 'act', he simply uses the most effective tactics to win games. And when he sees injustice (UEFA BLATANTLY FAVORING BARCA), he speaks up about it. Some call that stirring up controversy or putting up an act, I call that speaking the TRUTH.

Mourinho is not 'the best at getting under Barca's skin', he's the best at BEATING Barca. Given proper prepation time of course. That's why he lost to Barca with us at first in group stages, then beat them in the semi-final. With Real it's a bit more complicated, but just wait man.. Barca are the evil dictactors of modern football, pretending to be righteous kings. Next year we will see the downfall of 'Farcalona'..

Calderon speaking to ONA FM re: Mourinho & the mess at RM

"You can have millions of fans cheering for you, but Hitler was also acclaimed by millions of people before he took a tumble.

I feel sorry for Madrid and Florentino. Yesterday [during the announcement that Valdano will leave Madrid] I had the sensation of seeing a student who didn't know the lesson taking a primary exam.

They talked so much about dysfunction that they may as well of been talking about erectile dysfunction. It reflects a pathetic picture. It was like seeing a corpse in search of a coffin.

We must not bury our heads into the sand. Madrid's Florentino Perez have won the same amount of trophies as Betis, Zaragoza and Espanyol in his five years in office."

I don't know what people really expect from the guy. He led Real Madrid to win the cup against the best club in the world, reached the UEFA semis trashing all clubs he faced except, again, Barcelona. He effectively threatened to overthrow Barca's reign during the first this half of the year and for the first time I saw Barca's fans quite scared and worried.

And I will dare to say that he has achieved the aforementioned with players whose abilities are MUCH MUCH less than Barca's. while Barca has the likes of Messi, Villa and Pedro in the offense, Mou on the other hand has Benzema, Higuain, Angel and Adebayor whose performances weren't exactly spectacular this season as you guys may have noticed and pretty much shines only in unimportant games. So that left him with the one man show Ronaldo to seal the deal every time. IMO, Mou just needs more top players in his squad particularly in the offense, to win La Liga and the Champions League.

Dude, you are still trolling Inter forum to disseminate news about Mourinho ? Geez ! Is this some kind of pathology ? He's gone. Go troll Madrid forum or something.

Han, funny you are taking this guy seriously. It's damned if you do, damned if you don't. Think about it, this incarnation of Barca is widely acknowledged to be currently the best team of this era. Guess which single coach has beaten them to two trophies in the last two years ? I think what they hate is that they are like each other and it's surprising how much of his conducts he must have picked up while serving his apprenticeship at their club.

What will they do to win ?
=================

Mourinho- mind games, 10-man defence etc.
Barcelona- If the fancy passing isn't working, diving and exaggerating contact to get opponents sent off.

Reaction to loss
==============

Mourinho- blame everybody and anybody including referees.
Barcelona- turn on sprinklers, goalkeeper nearly strangles opposing coach, refusing to praise opponents- "We are the only ones who wanted to play football", blames referees and volcanoes and long, dry grass.

Success
=======

Mourinho- hugely successful, lots of trophies
Barcelona- hugely successful, lots of trophies

You know what they say about like poles, right ?

After watching this year ECL Final.., clearly MU is far behind Barca...

Last year, ECL show that only Inter Mou could cope with current farca///
Next year, everyone understands that Real Madrid's Mou would certainly can compete with farca..

Our inter seems to be lacking behind under rafa or leo (and probably with every coach other than Mou), MM will need to do something.
we can argue this year, our players has been plagued with fatigue after winning the treble and the players involved in WC..

I just watched the highlights of the 2nd leg Barca clash and man it reawakened all those great feelings I have for Mou. Non-sexual feelings for the most part.

I think he will come back if he wins the Champions league this season.. winning in Spain after England and Italy would complete his career goals...

He would want to win CL with an English side and to be the first manager to win 4 CL. If VB is available, I would prefer VB on top of Jose. I love Jose very much but:

1. he has won everything with inter. every possible cups.
2. VB will have more desires to win and achieve successes.
3. I don't want him to spoil his legendary status bcs his comeback has the same high chance to success as to failure.
