Not at all, I'm just illustrating the point that if our scudetto rivals were in better form we'd not be number 1 on the table :)

Why is it so hard to have open minded debate?

It is hard because you keep assuming facts and keep denying the reality  I really don't get you.

Oh I seen Benitez lately he's in top form! He is getting out -20% out of every player.

True, he's not been doing well recently, the injuries havent helped (analogous to the inter situation) but over his 3 years at liverpool he's gotten alot more out of his players than Mancini has...
2 CL finals in 3 years, Mancini can't even boast semi-finals in 3 years.

Their squad is probably weaker than ours too, except for Gerrard.... before torres no really good striker... Cambiasso/Vieira compares reasonably to Alonso/Gerrard... etcetc

This is a true point, I suppose, but the return of which players exactly do you think would make us play more convincingly up front?

The return of both Vieira and Deki, to reform the formation used last term, that dominated the whole Serie A with a string of victories. Basically it's just the 4-3-1-2, when our midfield could actually dominate in the middle of the park with strength.

Of course it's all hypothetical, but compared to our play now, we are losing the ball FAR FAR FAR too easily.

I'm just making the point that we've been fairly lucky, and if it wasn't for that luck, Mancini's position as coach would be alot more under-fire than it currently is.

you must be retarded to say that. i dont know that they provide live football and internet in the rehab centre.
Sure they do. How else could you be a part of this message board?

...

With these set of players we have it's the dumbest thing in the world to play 4-4-2. Answer me this question. What happened to the best in-form striker in the world that was Zlatan?

Oh no Mancini isnt a BAD coach, he's just not particularly GOOD. He'll do "average" for the squad he's given, but never get the extra 10% out of the players that Mourinho, Benitez, etc can.

Banitez??? LOL.. the guy that win 1/10 away game??

i think maybe only mourinho would excel from mancini.. the rest are not so important figure.. as some are not touchable and others are normal figures like banitez.. won so many fans by his CL success buy win 1 out of 10 away games..

I think that despite having good chances after the Burdisso change,we allowed them into the game and with every minute u could see their confidence growing..

Burdisso should not play in midfield at ALL...He was just running around ineffectively.

Can we terminate cesar's contract??? The guy gets an attack and decides to backheel it in the box on a counter attack who does he think he is Ronaldinho?? and is always offside...had a one on one with the keeper (yes it was considered a foul) but he still managed to miss....terrible player

there's no doubt Benitez has had a bad season, his squad rotation system has been the downfall, but as a tactical manager, I think he is a better guy for the job.

Perhaps it's just that he's stagnating at liverpool more than anything?

We could play the same right now? Why do we have so many central midfielders? We could easily play with Cesar, Esteban and Javier in the center, and Figo in front of them. That's just more offensive formation and would excell our biggest advanteges.

I thought we might end up with a draw, but after seeing how many chances we blew it is disappointing. A few thoughts:

-We really should have killed this game off. Ibra missed two excellent chances, Suazo had a half chance at the end there. They were very lucky to score off the defelection, but thats the risk you take by not making the most of your chances.

-Chivu and Samuel we're excellent in defense. Although we do lose a bit of attacking strength by dropping Maxwell, Chivu gives us alot more stability. Dont think he put a foot wrong all game. Samuel was up at his usual level, contender for MoM.

-Figo was doing well, hopefully the injury is not serious. If we've lost both him and Maicon, we will have some serious issues. It will, however, spell the end of the 442.

-Cesar did very little, should've been subbed for Maxwell or Solari. Seems his form is dipping, hopefully he can get back to where he was a few months back.

-All the talk from the Juve boys saying Inter were scared was shown to be bullshit at the final whistle. Look at the player reactions. Inter looked disappointed/upset with the result and walked straight off. Juve boys celebrated that they had managed to draw. They know we are (and were on the day) the better side.

-I know this gets brought up alot, but I think this was a good example of why Adri should be in the squad. Ibra had a good spell in the second half, but everyone could see that he was not on his game today. Chiellini dominated him, plus he was obviously putting himself under more pressure with the misses. Yet, Mancini persists with him and keeps him on until the end. Its not that bad a move though, because Crespo and Ibra are different strikers who play a different role. I'd say Crespo, Cruz and Suazo are our finishers (although Suazo did well today with the ball at his feet), while Ibra and Adriano are our more creative attackers. Had we replaced Ibra with Crespo at the end, it probably would not have been successful as neither Suazo or Crespo is erally able to spot and deliver the killer passes that Ibra, and to a lesser extent, Adri are. Once Juve equalised, I think giving Adri (whos performed well against Juve in the past) the last 10 minutes would have been a good option. Having him in the squad gives Mancio a similar replacement for Ibra, means we're less dependant on him having an excellent match.

-Nedved is a carnt.

-Captiano was excellent, I certainly hope he gets into coaching once he retires. Everywhere he plays he does really well, would have able to pass so much knowledge onto the team.

-Still not convinced by Mancini. I actually think he lacks the winning mentality that people often speak of. He was content at 1-0 to keep it there, bringing on Burdisso for Figo. Thats essentially playing a CB out of position for our most attacking midfielder. Solari/Maxwell would've been a better option, perhaps with Solari infront of Cambiasso in the midfield diamond. Then Dacourt for Maicon killed us, we lacked the pace and creativity required to challenge for the win. Mancio needs to show more confidence in the team, and push them to win every match. His dependance on Ibra was, once again, glaringly obvious and may have cost us in the end.

To whom it may concern,

If its the dumbest thing to play 4-4-2, then why are we attacking from the start until the end, had 6-7 corners compare to 1-2, had 12++ offside.. many of jube shots are from long range (they cannot get in, Samuel is every where).
