Politano was still better than Perisic who was playing with Harry Potter's invisible cloak though.

Spalletti is the last person to blame for this loss.
I very much doubt another coach would do a better job with such a shitty midfield.

He wanted more possession in midfield so he brought in Borja, but what he failed to see was there were 2 other midfielders;Mario & Gagliardini that also shouldn't have been playing or starting this game, yet his first sub was Politano, who as bad as some of his decision making is can still go forward, make some play with Vrsaljko and put in some crocuses, as opposed to the 2 other world class midfielders he choose to keep on.

Yes, it's because Gagliardini and Politano are actually kind of crap.

I feel bad for criticising the dude but it's what I've been saying since before we even signed him: Politano is good. He'll do a job. But the poor quality of his end product is what has, and always will, separate him from being great.

as mediocre as they may be (especially gags), i don't think they are so bad as to not be able to score those, in normal conditions. i suspect they feel the pressure of playing important matches. life is easy when your team is sassuolo/atalanta.

we can say the same about every inter player except skriniar and icardi. but some teams can build a TEAM with players like that and made them better, BVB or AtlM was doing it

Our team (collectively) is simply inept.

I liken it to an over-the-hill Sunday league team that don't train, just show up for games cos it's fun & winning doesn't matter, make the decent kunt do most of the work while everybody just jogs around hoping they pull a mixamotosis-infested rabbit out of a filthy over-worn top hat.

It's simply unacceptable that the same 11 from the first half returned in the second to produce a polar opposite display.

The first half was 'good', nowhere near great, but 'good' to be able to contain and even produce a chance for an unexpected lead.

Not gonna be fooled by the signings we've made and some of the wins we've had this season. We are simply nowhere near being a challenging team for ANY competition.

Edit: Also, get fucked Spalletti. Piss off and take some of these dickheads with you.

Skriniar
on the left we have perisic, who is not able to create a single chance
on the right, we have politano, who creates a lot, but at the end, he creates only tears in the eyes of fans
in the midfield we have guys, who can pass to our wings, but if they try to score, it's rubish.
in the middle we have Icardi, who is a beast, but he will not do all the work by himself

on the bench we have Lautaro, who is so motivated, that every single touch is give away shot or a foul
and Keita, who should have started instead of Perisic in the first place

I don't think I can handle more games without Nainggolan on the field. I might skip games where he's not starting, I've watched just way too much garbage filled midfield in the past years for one life time.

My health is more important than this shit.

Once we get pressed we are fucking clueless. Juve tried to press a few times in the first half and Politano hit really nice first time long passes to Icardi, one of these attempts gags basically stood on the fucking ball and lost it. Politano was the only one capable of this, so naturally LS took him off. Better midfielders though and we would have won

That sounds worse than it is... 3 of those losses came in away games at Barcelona, Spurs & Juventus.

Another point - this new strategy of playing the ball from really deep is starting to concern me. We never make a long pass from the defence, always short passes even when under severe pressure in our own penalty area - its obvious that Spalletti has made it absolutely clear to our defenders that kicking the ball long is not an option. However even quality experienced players like Miranda and Handanovic are not yet comfortable with this new style, and other teams are starting to exploit this.

I can understand the rationale, and that it takes time for such a fundamental change to start showing benefits. However maybe its time to let the players use their judgement in specific situations where not using the long ball option is suicidal.

Another big game, another loss where the coach's inexplicable decisions come under heavy, heavy scrutiny. Getting real sick of this shit.

I have simply not been convinced that this season has been or will be different to previous seasons.

Not a single 'winner' in the team. Honourable mention to Skriniar cos he has something and just maybe Brozovic. Everybody else is transferable, which would be no great loss at all.

The sub is not the only problem... Radja still injured, we just dont have this important midfielder that helps us to make the diffrence. No one that can shot from outside. No top player character in the midfield. It's really missing something there. And with Perisic beeing poor in the offensive part, the situation can't improve. We just have Icardi waiting for balls while Politano is good but not good enough sometimes.

Pretty excellent 45 minutes, then the usual shit. Borja for Politano was inexplicable, taking Joao Mario out was so obvious. Spalletti thinks he's cleverer than he actually is.

Slightly disappointed, but expected. Let's end the year in third and hope for the best on Tuesday, then see if any magic can be conjured in January.

Vrsaljko was good, and Skriniar taking the ball clean off Ronaldo's foot actually made me hard.

That's exactly what Radja has added into the team whenever he plays. He rarely goes into the box, he just waits outside the box. This pulls a defender or 2 away from our attacker. Whoever replacing Radja in the last few matches can be let dribbling the ball as much as they want because they are gonna lose it anyway.
