If the media reported on how Juve were horrible hosts from the president down to the player than we would have a real story. Instead we have Conte’s finger as being some apologists journalistic reason for Agnelli’s behaviour. As if the narrative of the event started then.

The real story is that a powerful club like Juve is trying to use every dirty trick to gain an upper hand against a team they fear may usurp them. The media bows to the their sponsors money and no one is willing to report how if this was England or Germany this shit wouldn’t be tolerated.

Serious question: what the fuck were you guys expecting? The performance is nowhere near as bad as some of you guys are making out to seem. If you’ve watched them play and us play recently that was always going to be the outcome. They are very good at defending deep and we’re not good enough at breaking down good blocks. It wasn’t a bad game at all from our end, we had a very good spell in the first half where we should have got at least a goal out of the half chances. We didn’t and that was all she wrote. Individually the players each had to be perfect and they weren’t.

Eriksen was very poor from the set pieces bar 1 and had a chance ( the Lautaro one) where I thought he could have scored.
Brozo was poor with his distribution and slowed us down too much.
Skriniar paid way too much respect to Ronaldo
Lukaku had a very good first half but faded in the second.
And Lautaro well the usual lately.

If the starting 11 couldn’t deliver then it was a Gg, no one off the bench to bring on unfortunately. Having said that chill with this doom and gloom and acting like it’s the end of the world. We fucked it in the first leg, I thought it was a solid effort yesterday. Big couple of games coming up, we need the strikers or at least one of them to hit some form

That's true. I've seen far worse games of us this season, but our performance in the last third was really, really terrible.

I think Eriksen was okay and Lukaku had a good first half - nothing more. That Skriniar showed too much respect to Ronaldo is true, but it seemed that all our defenders shat their pants when he was on the ball.

I just fucking hate Juventus little bit more after yesterday, if that's possible.

True dat. In the last few weeks, we have played Juve 3 times. 1 win, 1 draw, 1 loss. Thats not too shabby against a team of much higher means with 9 years of dominance.

I guess most of us were annoyed coz we had a chance to beat them again.

Italian Journalist Maurizio Pistocchi: “Fabio Paratici Tried To Sabotage Nicolo Barella’s Move To Inter”

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici tried to hijack Nicolo Barella’s move from Cagliari to Inter, a leading Italian journalist revealed tonight.

Barella joined the Nerazzurri on loan with an obligation to buy in the summer of 2019 and has since become a key figure under Antonio Conte.

According to Maurizio Pistocchi, however, things could have been very different had the 24-year-old buckled under pressure from Paratici 18 months ago.

He tweeted: “In addition to the insults from the stands that triggered Conte’s angry reaction, there is more behind last night’s brawl at the Allianz Stadium.

“Lele Oriali and Conte knew that Paratici contacted Barella several times to convince him to break the deal with Inter and go to Juventus instead.”

Paratici was accused today of threatening to strike Oriali during a heated row at half-time of last night’s Derby d’Italia, although Juve moved swiftly to*deny those claims.

Inter were knocked out of the Coppa Italia after being held to a 0-0 draw in their semi-final second leg.

Barella, who is under contract with Inter through to the end of the 2023-24 season and started last night, has made 31 appearances across all competitions this season, in which he has scored three goals and provided 10 assists.

That was like two years ago, I don't understand how is that relevant to this match in any capacity, other than this fighting with Juve figures.

This part is lost in translation. The journalist isn't very clear about the period Barella was approached from Paratici, before or after joining Inter. This is the original tweet:

"Oltre agli insulti-reiterati-dalla Tribuna che hanno scatenato la reazione di Conte, dietro alla rissa dello Stadium c’è di più: Oriali e Conte hanno saputo da Barella che Paratici l’ha più volte contattato per convincerlo a rompere con l’Inter e andare alla Juve"

Perhaps the Italian members could help us with that.

The claim is that Paratici has been trying to poach Barella. Whilst an Inter player.

Yet we somehow did not make a formal complaint about this but Conte gave them the finger?

That claim is just wrong, he tried to poach Barella "from Inter" as there was the pact with Barella maybe already 6 months before we signed him.

That wouldn't be news. The thing is that Paratici tried to pull a "Moggi on Cannavaro". As in, tank your value, protest and you will join us and you will not lose your place in the National Team and whatever else was promised. Roberto Mancini isn't some tool that will be handled by FIGC or Juventus, so his team selection is his. He's not going to remove a player because he plays for a specific club, so it's bad timing to pull that off. Playing for Inter these days is an advantage for Italian players unlike the 2003-2016 period.

They're late, but they're in! Please discuss the Player Rating Results here or in their appropriate thread. Forza Inter!

Sorry for being so late! Was absolutely swamped in work.

Let's take a look back at our unconvincing draw against Juventus which got us eliminated from the Coppa Italia.

FORZA INTER! Solo e Sempre!

Conte sore loser

Loved this bit

giphy.gif
Just another cheap stunt from Conte trying to divert attention from his incredible limitations.

Last time he blamed the ref, got suspended, so people talk about that, instead of his incompetence.

Now he did gestures and transmitted nervouseness. Incredible how a guy can pocket a NET of 12m euro/year for only having 1 plan, right?

Could not beat Pirlo`s juBentus, yet Conte never took blame and curiously, it`s never his fault. :chan:

Fans. Duh!
Juve squad is better than ours. Even a cursory look at both squads will tell you as much. They have spent 100s of millions more than us, and its shows. We got some big names for cheap/returned (Sanchez, Vidal, Eriksen, Kolarov, Young, Perisic) which makes our squad look good on paper, but some (if not all) of these are way past their best. Also we have some serious holes in our squad (eg LWB) which to a neutral don't show (Young, Perisic) but we Inter fans know better.

The only reason we have a shot at the Scudetto this season is coz Juve have a rookie coach who is still finding his style. Juve are like playing in 2nd gear, we are playing close to our top gear. If they hit form, they will run away with the title. Last month of so, despite their defeat to Inter, they are starting to look like a team.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves. Juve are still the favourites for the title, just like they start as favourites to advance to the final of the coppa. The next month will be crucial for the Scudetto race, as both Juve and Inter have some big games. If we are still ahead of Juve by mid-March and are collecting points at the same pace, then we will be favourites.

Sorry, I know this is not what you were talking about and perhaps this is not the best thread to discuss the scudetto race. I will copy-paste this in the appropriate thread.

If you compare chess and soccer I think that soccer has more combinations than chess.
If you change the players position or movement just a little bit everything changes so I think that the tactics will decide.
