I don't mind if Scaloni watched this match and decided to drop him. Please Mr. Scaloni.
Scaloni knew it he is awesome player long before many Inter fans come to that conclusion.

He needs to be a bit more careful. Especially as captain. Not just the dumb penalty today but also against Salernitana he gave away that ball in midfield that almost let them back into the game. Luckily that goal was taken back for being offside but that also would have been a different match if that goal stands.

The main talking point is not his spectacular goal or stupid foul, but he is the single thread that hangs our forward line. Arna is injured, Thuram is new to the position, and Alexis is il nuovo Correa. We are absolutely doomed if he is absent or exhausted.

if you are implying his performance against Benfica, he actually didn't miss the target in that game. Secondly, had he converted his first chance, there's no guarantee he would have had other opportunities. Usually, you create more when you can't score, but once you are 2 goals up, you kinda relax

Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez has reportedly been ordered to compensate his former babysitter's family by an Italian court after firing her once he found out she had a serious illness.
Martinez is alleged to have sacked a 27-year-old woman from her role just eight months after hiring her having learned that she had a terminal illness which caused her death in January 2023.
Lautaro, however, wanted to clarify the facts according to his version: “For a long time I decided to remain silent – he writes on social media – Out of respect for a family that has never had respect with us. But I will not allow my family to be tarnished“. As the lawyer Anthony Macchia, who defends the athlete, also specified, “the dismissal was imposed six months before the death” of the 27-year-old and Lautaro “was not aware of the seriousness of the lady’s illness, who moreover she had herself requested to be fired in order to benefit from deferred wages and severance pay.
attacker himself, in the text shared on Instagram in Spanish, says “we hired an already ill person, a dear friend, until her health prevented her from working. We did a lot for her and her family“. Lautaro had hired the 27-year-old to take care of his daughter Nina and only a few months later she was admitted to hospital due to a serious illness and the terrible diagnosis.
The hospitalization was paid for by Lautaro as well as the trip for his parents from Argentina to Italy to arrange for them to come and treat their daughter. At that point, therefore, the woman would have stopped working and, while she was still in the facility, she would have learned that she had been fired.
It was then that the girl turned to lawyers Michele Gagliano, Giuseppe Vadalà and Concetta Quartuccio to appeal. After her death in 2023, which occurred while she was in Argentina, her family resumed the pending judgment. According to Martinez, the latter would have “waited until her daughter was on the verge of dying and she was no longer lucid, to try to get some money from us and take advantage of the situation“. According to the lawyer Macchia, furthermore, the footballer “was available to donate the indicated amounts by the Labor Judge of the Court of Milan (moreover much greater than those then indicated in the operative part of the sentence by the same magistrate) to a charity to be chosen at the discretion of the judge” and “the agreement was not possible for the refusal of the lady’s heirs and his prosecutors present at the hearing”.

Kind of nice to see him playing in a fresh forward line with alvarez and gonzalez on either side. Been close a couple of times in the first half.. Hasn't scored in 10 international games.

Argentina are 3 in 3 so far. The only South American nation with a perfect record.

I can't remember all their lineups over the years, but for me this is the first time in 20+ years that they actually have a competent midfield, in all positions.

The guy from Viola is meh...

If he keeps this form throughout the whole season, Inter will receive an offer which it cannot refuse, I guess.

I guess it depends on which teams looks for strikers. I am going to assume that Osimhen is making a move next summer and he seems EPL bound. Lautaro strikes me more as someone who would go to Spain, if he were to leave us. Barcelona will probably need a striker soon but their problem is that I don't think they can offer much to sign any player - most of their signings are loans, etc. I assume Real Madrid goes for Mbappe.

In some way, Lautaro's poor World Cup may work in our favour. If he had a great World Cup, his stock would be through the roof right now.
