Milito hasnt been selected for this game, and let'a not forget that if Lazio wins then they get back on top, its a big game for them as well. Let's hope that we do good. Im thinking about getting Motta,Cambiasso, stanko and Sneijder ready because they are gonna make the difference for us. Biabiany has been improving too, I'd like to see him changing the pace like his did last time...not the best finisher tho. As for Pandev, i dont know if he should start this game, he has wasted so many opportunities in the past, he doesnt seem to have that much confidence...but he is playing against his old team, im sure he will want to prove something.
Anyway guys lets get back to the TOP like we were used to. Rafa dont fuck up!!!!!! ;)
Forza interr!!

THIS TIME, IT'S NO JOKE.
LAZIO-INTER AT THE OLIMPICO. INTER ARE ORDERED TO WIN.

Key match for Benitez: the Nerazzurri to think without worries about Champions League and Club World Cup.
Reja: "We need a perfect match."
Benitez closes 2010 in Italy with a risk of being -16.
From Lazio to Bremen and to Club World Cup. Because if they skip the strike and if Milan win all...

Appiano Gentile - Molowny, as never before. When Rafa Benitez recalls the former coach and sporting director of Real Madrid by his last name, he has always been considered his mentor more or less. "Slowly, one thing at a time." So one game at a time and patience are overused phrases in football and this time it is. First Lazio, then Werder Bremen and then Club World Cup. Big plan for a distant future.

Headache Although in 2010 Inter will end 2010 with a few braking (5 defeats in 35 league matches). Another calculation has already risen spontaneously because if things go wrong tonight, and if there is a strike, and if Milan were going to win all 3 games remaining this year with Inter not playing a single game. If, if, if, yes but the possibility of starting the new year with -16 from the top will give them headache.

Pharmacy Lazio
Better try to take a pill against Lazio. Who for Inter has been a nice pharmacy. Numbers are in order to give you some ideas. Lazio have not beaten Inter in the league, including home and away, since December 21,2003 (2-1 at the Olimpico) Inter have won 8 and drawn 5. Again, Lazio haven't scored against Inter in the league for more than 2 and a half years and last to succeed was Rocchi in March 29, 2008 (1-1 in Rome).

3564cf8a7b43c9751291364.jpg

Who's up and down But those are just numbers. Because in the meantime much has changed at least comparing to last season. A year ago, after 14 matches, Inter had 35 points not 23 and in the contrary, Lazio had 14 less points than they do today (no one has improved by this much in Serie A). In addition to this, tonight Delio Rossi will have only Meghni and Garrido unavailable while Benitez will have the usual dozen of injured players, plus one disqualification of Eto'o and it is understood that it won't be a joke anymore to extend the winning streak.

Formation choices But Benitez will ask for his "survivors" and then he will make the next game in the Champions League where he must also think about bringing back some of the injured (Chivu, Mariga and maybe Milito) in Abu Dhabi. Already this evening, however, at least Muntari will return and he is a candidate to start from the beginning in place of Thiago Motta with Cordoba (tired, but there's optimism) playing on the wing. Unless Benitez prefers to have the Colombian in the middle then he would exclude Materazzi and use Santon on the right or even Natalino. And with 4 big absences, including Julio Cesar, Inter's defense has now discovered te opposite: it is still the best in Serie A but it is tied with Lazio's and Chievo's.

Cuchu in the middle though.

That's the best way to go right now. We have to go with our strength, and at the moment, it's deffinetly the midfield. So instead of 2, we make it 3, and it is the best choice. Hopefully that will compensate the lack of Sammy, or Milito, or anybody upfront in good form (maybe except for Biabiany to some extend, who did fairly well in last 2 games), like it happened at Parma.

Lazio lost it's momentum, and it's our chance. Lets hope the luck finaly is on our side, unlike last 3-4 weeks (except for Parma), and that we won't need 5 scoring chances to score 1 goal. We need to be clinical here, and get the crucial 3 points.

We need to be clinical and we got Pandev up front :palm:

And how bad has Santon been to have Natalino starting? Poor him. We need to inject some serious confidence in him.

i completely agree. Santon will never improve if he doesnt play, he'll just lose his confidence. And Pandev :palm: but hopefully our midfielders can provide goals.

Yep, crucial game ahead of us.

Playing with Cuchu,Motta and Deki in the midfield and Wesley+Biabiany behind Pandev seems the most logical solution right now.
The three in the midfield played well recently, so it's normal to use all of them.

The partnership Motta-Wesley will be key here, and from Deki I expect a good game as usual lately.
Biabiany has grown in the last 3 games, and another good performance is exactly what we need in this period without Samu or Diego.

Pandev is the opposite.
His performance lately has been so poor, that it's no longer funny anymore.
When we have two available strikers, we just can't afford to have one of them in such a slump!

For me, this is the game to make or break for Goran!
I will let every bad performance aside that he had in the last year (and tbh after his formidable start with us last season he faded away slowly but surely) and hope that in a game with such importance, especially for himself, he will give his best!

I expect to see him to play like there's no tommorow.
If he doesn't, than I'm afraid he will have no more than a bench role for us from now on, and that he will probably leave us soon after.

In the defence, I will still play Cafe in the central spot instead of Matrix, who is atm more a danger than a help to us.
That means that there will be an open spot as fullback either for SAnton or Natalino.

It's a great performance for such a young player like Felipe to make his debut for Inter so soon, but I followed his performance closely in the last game and he lost his man twice or three times, on all ocasions that led to a scoring chance for Parma!

The coach who trains the squad everyday knows better if he should start this game ahead of Santon, or not.
If Felipe starts tonight ahead of Santon, it's obvious that Rafa has lost faith in him, and it would be perhaps wiser to loan him out in January, IF we have no more surprise injuries.

I heard that we will have three games less in this period than the other teams because of the CWC, normally that is a big disadvantage, psichologically and becauuse of the tight schedule in the following months, but for us it might be a blessing in disguise.

With the key players back from injury and the reinforcements arriving in January, I'm confident that we'll see another Inter, capable of fighting once more for the Scudetto, and why not, for the upper rounds of the CL.

In order to have a easier and better way from January forward, we must win this game and the one with Fiorentina, and hope that the others will slip.(which they will)
