Conte is a no no, but hopefully there will be better choices out there. Conte is a fucking whiner who isn't content ever with what he's getting from the club.

Spalletti: 'Tension got to Inter'

Football Italia

Luciano Spalletti felt Inter “let the tension get to us” in*a 1-1 draw with PSV Eindhoven*that knocked them out of the Champions League.

Mauro Icardi cancelled out the Hirving Lozano opener and a win here would’ve put them through to the Round of 16, as Barcelona held Tottenham to a 1-1 draw.

“We were unable to keep our calm, despite the fact everything was still possible. We gave the ball away, were tactically not organised and PSV were allowed some dangerous counter-attacks,” Spalletti told Sky Sport Italia.

“As the anxiety grows, you lose sight of how to control the game and it became end to end. We had our chances to score, but it wasn’t the right attitude we needed in that moment.

“Not every team can beat anyone. This does weigh on our psychology and we had to keep the game in the balance, but we became too frenetic after going a goal behind.”

Barcelona were leading Tottenham Hotspur at Camp Nou, until an 85th-minute Lucas Moura equaliser.

“Naturally, the crowd cheers and the players look around to see what happened. UEFA asked if I wanted to have the results from elsewhere pop up on the screen and I said yes. A team like Inter needs the mental strength to handle that situation.

“It’s not one player who can change the overall attitude of a team, it’s a much bigger picture. We must do everything together, as it’s the only play to play like a unit.

“It’s easy to look back and say there are moments when we could’ve done better, but once again we let the tension get to us and didn’t handle the situation well.

“There is disappointment, the same as any other club that goes out of the Champions League.”

Not a single word on admitting his mistakes in the lineup, the defensive pussy play, the subs..

TENSION GOT TO THE PLAYERS..

EDF can easily turn the tides of Roma's season. 5 points to 4th place and his injured players slowly came back to the squad. EDF in his first season managed to convincingly win his CL group with Chelsea and Atletico something which Spaletti would never do with that Roma squad. EDF also fared better in the championship last year despite having demanding CL games till April.

I wouldn't be surprised if Marotta really pushes for the sack of Spalletti and the hiring of Conte. It makes me sick to my stomach with all this Bianconero around Inter but at least Conte is a winner. And we need some fucking winners guiding this ship. Not losers who have done nothing in Italy except lose.

Spalletti was a free agent when Conte resigned but Marotta decided to go with Allegri so i don't think he rates Spalletti highly. I think Spalletti will finish the season at Inter unless we drop out of top 4 during the season. But in the summer Marotta will probably bring a coach of his choice.

I hate these press conferences, sometimes it's just better to shut up.

I was about to post that Football Italia article/interview.

I think Spalletti is spot on there. That was the biggest problem today, the tension and pressure was too much for the team. And all that is Spalletti's fault.

Stay with him until Simeone is available. Changing coach right now will bring us back to previous years.

Boys, it's ok. We'll send them to the magic healer in the mountains for some therapy.

Smart man. That's why he's a winner.

The only other choice could be Mourinho. I can't see any other top coach leaving his current club.

If JJM is gonna defend him still after tonight, ban him until the club hire a new manager.

Mourinho is a big no no too. Totally outdated and out of touch at this point of his career. From Spallo to Mourinho would be just massive failure in terms of how offensive we would be.

Could be all a strategy. If Perisic doesn't come to Mou, Mou comes to Perisic. Mastermove.

i can all understand you hate for Spalletti, there is nothing wrong.

But please tell me how many chances Mr. best player of serie A had to score, at last 3-4. Tell me what that cunt of rubentino (asamoah) did in this game. Tell me what Perisic did. I just see a lost forward. Created a lot of chances but nobody knows how to score. And we don't have a fucking midfield. This team needs still at last 3-4 decent players, it just changed nothing from last season, that's the truth.

Players with a shitty cunt of mentality that likes to think that a 1-1 is enough. Against fucking PSV, some shit club from Erdivise. A fucking looser club, even more then us. But seems like we are not better if this is really Inter. Pathetic, ridiciolous, shitty, Inter.

IMO that is the coach's job to prepare the team mentally for the game. What they should do, what can happen, how should they react when unexpected happens etc. Pretty normal stuff (I hope!) but IMO Spalletti has failed miserably in the preparations phase with some of these big matches.
