Live from Milan I've got this news for you.
Yesterday Zacceroni sent his dimission to the president Facchetti.
Today, during the presidency council in via Durini, the new coach Mancini will be officially presented.
With him at 90% will join Inter many players of Lazio.

Well done guyz!

Zaccheroni quits Inter Tuesday 15 June, 2004

Alberto Zaccheroni is no longer the Coach of Inter after the club accepted his resignation.

The Nerazzurri website confirmed the news this morning which brings an end to his eight month Inter stint.

"I’ve resigned because despite having the faith of President Giacinto Facchetti, I don’t have support from the club," he told the Corriere dello Sport newspaper.

"I’m also going because nobody is keeping me informed of what we are doing on the transfer market.

"It is a shame because I was convinced that we had a good chance of success if I was given a full season.

"My past shows that, when I had the possibility to work from the beginning of the season, I have never lacked results."

Zac was only appointed as Coach on October 19, 2003, when Hector Cuper was shown the door.

"I arrived here when Inter were eighth in the League and I finished fourth but this hasn't been enough," he added.

"In the Champions’ League, we were eliminated by Lokomotiv Moscow. In the Coppa Italia, we went out only in the semi-finals with Juventus on penalties.

"I remain convinced that, with only a few player changes, we would have become competitive on a high level."

Roberto Mancini will be named as the new Inter boss. He already replaced Zac at Lazio in 2002.

I still think that we should have given Zaccheroni a full season to show what he really could do though I guess thats how the cookie crumbles in life and Mancini is gonna get the new position, unless we do like Juve and use the heavily rumored coach as a smokescreen and get someone else, someone like Deschamps or Houllier or something

I agree...A whole season under Zac would be better than this one definately especially now that towards the end they seemed to have it together,but instead we chose the guy that Zac overcame during the season....Oh yeah and now he is bringing the players he got 6th place with him,and not just the good ones it seems.As if our team doesnt have the quality.

Maybe Zac overcame him because Inter's squad has much more quality than Lazio's ,because Inter is a rich club and Lazio's staff haven't got paid for 10 monthes ?

Zac is good ,Mancini is probably better ,time will say .

Yeah i agreee with u ,that was my only problem with Zac..Anyways its too late for all of this now.It would be good if there was another twis and Hitzfeld was appointed.

there are a few good managers on the market ,Hitzfeld ,Matthaeus(former nerazzurro :star: ) ,Benitez etc.

I prefer Hitzfeld over Mancini but Mancini would still be very good .

Matthuaes is my all time favorite player i would like to see him at Inter once again one day but i still think its too early for that.I would like him to get better and have more experienced before such a big job,the same goes with Mancini..He was a fantastic player and is doing good as a coach but i think its still along way from the coach we need and should get..Our management would be smart if they get a Hitzfeld or a Benitez who have done it on two stages...

Whomever we get will always get my support...I will criticize decisions here and there like anyone would and like i did with Zac but they will get my support but its not my support or some of the fans thats important its how long will management lend their support for the next coach...Inters coaching job isnt the easiest,in fact it could be the most ridiculed and most under the microscope job, in Italian soccer at least,not to mention that the pressure is coming from everywhere u look and that the coach is really as good as the play in the last match and according to the standings in the table only.
