Since the day we sold Balotelli, his value has only decreased. Now Kovacic is at the same age as Balotelli was in 2010, he's just as talented, infinitely better mentality, tell me how is Balotelli's value higher than Kovacic's?

I always disagreed with people over hyping Balotelli and his talent but I would say he was worth more than Kova at the same age because Balotelli achieved more and won of medals and actually contributed to winning games and trophies.

Only way Kova is worth more than Balo at the same age is ridiculous transfer market.

Played 90 minutes yesterday for Croatia U21 against Ukraine,
it ended 1-1,Rebic (from Fiorentina) scored for Croatia.
Kovacic played ok, Ukraine made 25 fouls in this game and I
think maybe 12-15 were made on Kovacic, he played in CM position,
but was playing very deep, he beat his man one on one every time he tried,
but they pulled his shirt or second player came and made a foul- it
seemed opposite coach had a plan against him.
He didn't make any super pass for forwards, he played 2 or 3
wrong ones to the forwards but moved ball good and nobody from
opposition could take it away from him.
All in all solid performance, nothing special, but
Ukraine players double marked him, in NT alongside
Modric and Rakitic he will have more freedom and play
not so deep like in U21.

Shouldn't use price difference of forwards and midfielders to compare their quality. The latter are usually cheaper. There are less forwards and they are more decisive. And there are few more reasons why prices of players differ. Andy Carroll from Newcastle to Liverpool would a good example of those reasons.

So imo it is kind of normal that Kova is cheaper than Balo was at the same age, but still to have the same or even higher potential. If a midfielder and a forward with the same potential level advance at the same rate, their prices will depend on the market, but the forward would have a higher price initially.

I dont think he is. If he can play like he was vs Lazio on a more consistent basis, he'll be one of the best midfielders in the game truth be told.

Even the biggest fanboy will admit that was a rare gem for Kovacic, though, but there's nothing wrong with that at his age.

He gave an interview where he said that he wants to stay at Inter even though he didn't play as much as he wanted but it's ok because he is still learning while he is only 20 and that he prefers the trequartista role/number 10 role but he has no problem playing where the coach says.

Thats the mentality everybody like and want to see. He loves the environment, he loves Inter and he just needs more playing time. Hope WM will finally realize that. Its quite time. Next season could be crucial for his development!

It's just the way I see it, Kova is over Hyped.

I think he's going to be ok. He's beating his man too often for it to be a coincidence. Once he figures out how to play after beating his man and getting more yards I think he'll do wonderful things.

He hasn't found consistency at 20, big deal... He's playing well and he's showing a lot of promise. I can't think of too many other players at his age that are really playing too consistently and getting it right every time they touch the ball.

I think by the time he is 23 this kid will be cut out of granite and will do great things in the midfield as long as he gets enough playing time and stays health.
