Yup. As much as Politano wound me up last season with his god awful FK's and in general inconsistent performances, he does bring some pace and good ball control up front. When and if Conte needs to go to a 3-4-3, Poli can step right in to that wide role. As can Sanchez obviously.

I would have still milked Fiorentina's interest for 35m, and kept the money in the bank to use in January. Esposito could be 4th striker for 6 months, or we could have asked Fiorentina to loan us Thereau for a year just as back up. Or if we had asked Juve for a free loan of Mandzukic for a year, both the club and player would have jumped at the gracious offer.

The reason is that I don't see Politano getting too many chances to play this season, specially if Sanchez turns out to be even half the player we know he can be. So next season when we finally get rid of Politano his value may be half that. When you get a big offer for a non-essential player who we know is not Inter quality, you gotta seriously consider it.

Watching the Cagliari highlights again, I like Politano in his new role as the 70th minute. I know we've only played relegation fodder and a mid-table side (although I think Cagliari could challenge for top 8 if that midfield clicks and they replace the injured Pavoletti in Jan), but when teams are tired he's exactly the type of player that you hate to see running towards you.

We saw evidence of it last year against Napoli in the Koulibaly incident, but if he can do it consistently then it's a lovely option to have. Pintus and Conte need to not let him go home until he scores+assists 50 times each day though. His final ball, whether it be pass or shot, is woeful 80% of the time.

Yes indeed. I read so many times that he doesn't really fit in a 3-5-2 but I think that's not true. In his last games with Sassuolo he played as second striker alongside Berardi and he was scoring goals for fun in that role. I think he fits better there than on the wing as he has more freedom in that role and could be less predictable than on the right.

So your telling me it s a stamina issue? Sorry but i refuse to believe that a 26 year old professional footballer cant get his stamina levels up to the one of 32 year old candreva that just cant be the issue.
