I must be blind because I cant find anything in my post implying that I would let him go for "anything". Getting 40m+mandzukic+matuidi as rumored is good considering all the mess created by the management.
Right, you didn't. I like to exagarate often to make people understand that everybody has their own personal levels at which they accept things. To you 10mln would not be acceptable (maybe it's you who "let emotions decide financial transactions" because you wouldn't transfer him for 10mln to "cut our losses"?), for some of us 40mln + their ciao mario and barbosa (because that's what those 2 players are, they were trying to get rid of them from the beginning of mercator) is not acceptable.
You are trying to impose childplay, which would be to succumb to this fucking intelectual blackmail. If jube offered 100mln tomorrow we would take it instantly (anybody disagrees?), so your whole premise that equates the management with some fringe opinion here on the forums that we should keep icardi no matter what is bogus.
I did say he is dumb, because he is. I did not say however, I want him to sit out for 2 years on the stands. I've said, that that's a risk for him AS WELL as for us. Meaning, if he is rejecting offers left and right, we need a mechanism for him to change his mind and be more willing to accept other offers, not only from 1 club which will try to take advantage of it. Realising for him, that he might not play almost at all for 2 years is that mechanism. The problem is that he is so stupid, that he doesn't understand his time at Inter is over and he MIGHT INDEED sit for 2 years on his ass.
If jube offered us 100mln tomorrow for him, or even 70mln I'd take it. I believe that's our unofficial position. Or Dybala.
And to answer your last question. If he sits for 2 years on his ass, Inter gains nothing from it, Inter loses. But so is icardi. The problem we have right now, is that we do understand that, but icardi is so dumb, that he does not realise that and it takes 2 to tango. A club to get reasonable offer, which we apparently did from Monaco for one and a player who is accepting to leave when reasonable offer is presented, but from the looks of it he still thinks jube is his promise land.
And when I've said, we are trying to send a message, I did not say that we should (or will) keep him on the stands no matter what offer we'll get to send the message. That's not "the message" I meant our sane (thank God for Marotta) management is trying to send. What I did say, was that we're sending a message that this shit will not fly anymore, that is trying any non-professional games to force us to cave in towards what players want. No-no, those days are over. And what icardi wanted before was to get shit loads of money to play for his "beloved club" and then when we said fuck no, he wants (from my gut) a transfer to juve, which thinks they can send us some scraps for him and fuck us hard.
No no. Maybe in Moratti era, but not any longer.
