Actually I'm now a bit pissed about the timing if this is not all planned and set up with Icardi.

Though he hasn't been scoring for weeks so maybe it doesn't affect the overall performance of the team much?

Only thing I'm worried about at this point is the CL spot. We won't get shit at summer mercato if we don't have that spot.

Icardi will be pissed because he was stripped of the captaincy!? Great! Let him be pissed! The whole appointment was utterly stupid in the first place. And for those of you that say why now, when was it ever a good time!? Was it a good time when his wife started vomiting about the contract negotiations in the middle of the season!? Or when he went on social media to address the club about it like it we were selling burgers and hotdogs? Or better yet, was it a good time when Icardi released a fucking book dissing some of the fanatic fans in the middle of the fucking season? All of these stupid incidents are unbecoming of a club captain! And all the fucking while WE DID NOTHING! NADA! ZILCH!

I love this move. Now I really don’t care if the Icardi family takes it as a slight, they can say whatever the fuck want afterwards and THE CLUB IS BIGGER THAN ALL OF THEM WHEN IT COMES TO FOOTBALL! Nuff said!

Already making its rounds on the news circuit. Makes the club look like a shit show if I’m being honest. This also gives Real Madrid or whatever club the leverage to lowball us in negotiations for him. FUUUUCK. Anyway, guys who replaces him next summer? I’d like a shout to Depay, Martial, Iñaki Williams or Werner. But knowing this club we’ll buy fucking Richarlison

On the other hand, even though I would like Icardi to stay, I really appreciate the gesture by the club. We are finally showing "no one is bigger than the club" attitude.

True, but showing the "no one is bigger than the club" attitude would weigh just equally had we done this in summer instead.

Honestly I agree. This looks like a shit show from the outside.

I really hope my theory is correct. And soon Icardi will come out with comments.

Also kiss the CL goodbye and watch as our cousins take over the city. Seriously there’s not enough character in this club to survive something like this

Also, the Icardi that I know is proud and headstrong to the point of being somewhat of a shit. On top of that there's that 30-IQ tool Wanda whispering snake shit in his ear. There's no way he's taking this well.

We have Lautaro and many seem to think that he is ready to replace Icardi right away. So we'll buy Sissoko and ilicic to help us create more chances.

Also, let me put on a tin foil hat for a second.

Within months of Marotta arriving, rumors are leaked that key players want out, our winter mercato goes to shit and our MVP loses his captaincy.

Still wearing the tin foil hat, I'm predicting Icardi to Rube in summer. Maybe a swap + money deal with Cuadrado coming our way or some shit.

Maybe they are changing this for the money?

Get rid of captaincy and have that new contract with money closer to the demand?

Too hopeful?

I think it’s Marotta-effect. He is coming in wanting to change the environment and not giving shit about anyone or anything but the club. I actually like this move. Ausillio never dared to do such a move. It shows that no one is untouchable. You either do your job properly or you get the fuck out. If you are the club‘s captain you have to be on your best behavior on and off the pitch. When your big mouth wife talks shit about the club every two days and demands a raise or else you‘d leave, what kind of message are you sending out to the rest of the team?

I remember when Zanetti wanted to renew his contract he would just simply sign whatever was put in front of him not even looking at the numbers.

If your captain threatens to move unless he is paid a certain amount no wonder every two days we hear about x, y, z players wanting to move.

Whoever wants to leave, good riddance, Inter will be better without you. If you want to stay, show it on the pitch or else, we will make you leave!

Playing for Inter is a privilege in itself and players should be thankful for that. If Inter is just a stepping stone for you or you are just playing here to make money then doesn’t matter who you are, we don’t want you here!

I was thinking of Dybala, but Cuadrado would be full Moggi-time shit.

This is the biggest mindfuck. If we were going to sell him anyways keep it hush hush....now whoever will buy him has massive leverage over us. Makes no sense to me

And then give it back to him? Would be classic Inter management. Why Screw up one class player when you can screw up 2

If he's to sook about this outcome, he only has to look down at the whore on the end of his dick to find blame.

They will buy Zapata and claim that the club didn't lose anything in terms of quality.

Icardi doesn't really have a captain's attitude. I think this is a good move overall. Don't know about the manner of execution.
