I dont quite understand the photo, i dont have a bromance for the guy. He is only 25, fast, creative with good technique. Our whole team was mismanaged last yr including him, Under Strama he played well.

I still think we should trade Pazzini for him if we can.

With mauro its not lack of talent for sure..he just doesnt have any football IQ. And i doubt that will change any time soon.

That being said. Hes my fav player, i have followed him since he was like 17 years old, and it sucks he failed badly at my favorite club(..still Forzaa mauroo, hope he does fine, except against inter obviously

All im saying is that after Lavezzi, Giovinco, Destro not happening, and Lucas getting more expensive everyday that i hope we end up signing someone like Ramirez or Jovetic though that is also seeming unlikely.

So hopefully we will get Osvaldo to rotate with Milito and someone like Gomez to play wide, but IMO that will not be enough and we will still need someone else and if we could manage to trade Pazzini for Zarate i would be happy because he seemed to have the support of the players and wasnt the only one who had a horrible season, he did play well under Strama and he could still make for a great player to challenge for a starting role and add depth to our squad.

Did Zarate storm out on Lazio?

There are reports that Mauro Zarate stormed off when told he’d be on the Lazio bench against Inter, effectively ending his time in Rome.

The striker was in the squad for last night’s Serie A match against his former club at the Stadio Olimpico.

However, his name did not appear on the bench, nor was he spotted in the stands for Lazio’s 1-0 victory.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Zarate stormed off when told he would only be on the bench.

There are even rumours this happened the night before the game, as he turned down the call-up and preferred to stay home.

Coach Vladimir Petkovic has previously criticised the Argentine’s attitude and it’s clear the rapport with Lazio is at an all-time low.

It won’t be easy to sell Zarate, who earns €2m per season and has a contract that expires in June.

Therefore it’s possible Lazio will opt to rescind the contract by mutual consent in January so he can find himself a new club.
