Seeing our roster, and the players we are interested in, i see one HUGE flaw - we will still suck at set pieces. Other teams score ~15 goals from set pieces, we score 5 at most. How good is Lazaro at FKs? Sensi is OKish, like Brozo, but those two should be like 3rd or 4th choice.

We NEED someone who can take set pieces. We get that - we got 20% better attack.

Yeah that sucks we are so bad at set pieces. They should really try to get at least the corners/side freekicks to work for us. We have good aerial players so just train those setpieces and get the crosses to work for us. Direct freekicks is an added bonus but usually they come when the talent level goes up in the squad. In this squad or the rumored players I don't see excellent direct freekick takers. But it's just a nuance anyway.

Was just thinking the same today, except that I was thinking about where our goals will come from in general. Apart from Icardi, Conte also wants to send Nainggolan away. That's like bloody huge portion of our goal threat. Latest news is that he wants Matic in exchange. I mean... it's nice to have stability at the back, but this is too far.

Apart from lacking any goal threat, we have loads of players who don't have a natural position. Our five natural CB's are all big right footed guys. This group is of good quality, but these are players for back four. We lack speed, passing range and a left foot there. We have wingers like Politano and Perisic (and Candreva). Politano is now a striker in our squad, sigh. He is solid winger but a crap striker. Perisic is good winger but probably only a decent wingback.

So, just today I had an epiphany that we are a mess.
