We didn't got Hakimi fast. Ausilio started his work in May already (and some rumor was earlier I believe). It simply didn't got out.
But yeah, paying 4m€ for Males, 19-year-old kid, who we're going to flip to Genoa on loan. How the fuck we have funds for that kind of shit?
Our problem is not cashflow-related. It's fucking China-related.
edit. And like what the fuck, why can't we commit to Tonali who would have been 10m€ loan this year but we buy kids for loan-flipping? Not the same sum but 4m€ is something, almost half of Tonali's this season.
Starting to get pissed at this sell first bullshit. Buy the first team, let the shitters and deadwood rot and understand they are out so should add some pressure to their agents to find new clubs. We are really getting fleeced in the market as we're gonna wait to get the sales done and sales gonna get done at the last week of the mercato because everyone knows that's the time to buy. Last week of the window will be epic all over the Europe, we should be ahead of this curve.
But let's see what happens, maybe we can get lucky too.
I dunno.
I think it's both FFP and cashflow, tbh.
If I remember correctly, we sold Icardi and then pretty quickly got Hakimi - its not hard to map that cashflow. Tonali + salary would have been like 16m cost for the year, which makes him one of our most expensiev players. considering the state of our midfield, I can see why we'd be focused on bringing in someone like vidal who migoht only cost like 6-8m for the year by comparison.
Corona directly impacted our revenues about 30mil, so lets say 35mil just to be safe, we were probably skirtnig close to FFP boundaries anyway (we always are), so thats like another 25mil, that adds up to 60 already. Non-redemption of Perisic, JM, lower Icardi fees, etc, easily takes us to 100m losses. Of course we're still tied in to Pirelli this year and thats gonna pose a challenge.
We'll see where we are at the end of the season, but we really need to offload people like Candreva, JM, Vecino, ideally Gags though there are no real rumours, etc. I suspect Broz/Skriniar would have been available anyway, but it's clear we're desperately trying to find some plusvalenza to normalise our situation
The biggest problem is that we've spent yearas collecting dead wood and not being able to sell them. Fucking loan club.
Also, yeah, it doesnt make sense we sign males, wtf
unless we think he's gonna make it. But as I posted elsewhere, I dont trust our youth scouting, it seems very unreliable at best.
