I personally like the idea of bringing Mariga back. He is perfect for the right center mid position in a 4-3-2-1 or 4-3-1-2. He can probably also play in the 2 in a 4-2-3-1. Hopefully he will make sure we play Capitano in defense and give Poli a run for his money. He's cheap, close to his prime, and can get up and down the field with speed. I think he's a little underrated here. I remember the guy actually having a bit of a knack for getting in good goal scoring positions and delivering on a few occasions. Bullet header comes to mind as well. It's also important we have someone willing to do the dirty work while Guarin gets forward with his slick passing. The way we overloaded the left side then kicked the ball out to the right will suit players who can stretch their legs. He or Kucka can come back to complete the midfield, but I personally prefer BIG MAC....and a deep lying playmaker but that's another story.

Yeah I agree Mariga does have the quality to play on the right side of the cm, you need someone with strength and a person who can move into the area. I think mariga could do that and since the club can't spend much an internal solution is not bad at all.

Gazzetta writes, that Strama will be not only a coach, but also will have a word in the transfer market.

Good if it's true. Then it wouldn't be like Strama needs a striker, and Branca gives him a DM.

Yeah it seems like Strama is liked by management which is important as gasp was only the 4th choice im summer, rafa came during our cl hangover so this time we have a coach that the club has faith in.

What the hell? A coach who really can give advices concerning signings? Which drugs is Moratti taking  Finally we recognize that Branca standing alone is a huge fail because he just buys players he likes and he can't build a bridge to the interests and systems of the coaches. As far as the current state of our structure is concerned I am really optimistic and looking forward to the next season.

In Strama we trust :slick:

Sorry, but I completely disagree.

Mariga's a poor player. He is a REAL SOCEIDAD reject for Gods sake!

And he's just done his cruciate ligaments, he'll be out for at least 6 months, probably 9 before he's fully match fit again...

Sorry, but a massive pass for me. He's not good enough technically, and I dont think he has the ability to cut it at anything like a top team.

Not good enough for the 14th team in La Liga, not good enough for us. Simple as that.

Did you watch him since he went to Parma? He played some very good games and did his part in Parma's strong finish to towards the end of the season, just because it didn't work out in Spain does not make him a bad player. Anyway his injury means he will definitely return there is no way a team will buy a player who's just done his ACL, I swore I read in some article that Strama rates him so maybe he will get his chance when he's fit again.

I wouldn't say he flopped he played more good games than bad games with us and played a lot under Benitez initially, but of course with the Motta/Cuchu/Zanetti triumvirate he was never going to be starter when everybody was fully fit. It really is a shame about his injury because he was in good form before that, now we don't know what type of player he will come back as.

I think your underrating Mariga a bit too much browha.

That being said, yes he is injured and will be out for a long time and I don't want him back anyhow.

For me, Cambiasso is a sure starter, and thank God Stramaccioni has said likewise. The other CM positions (either 4312 or 4231) should be filled by Poli, Guarin and Obi.

Agreed Brow this time your wrong, i remember the chances he did get at Copa italia, he had pace was strong and players had hard time to get passed him, IMO he is good cover, we need backup players, and if not for that injury i would welcome him as well

Well always right was part of what i was telling, that he always judge ( not emotional), but using his own common sense, but of course he can be wrong, just that he is always right is part of he convince the things he tells is always right ( his point of view ). People now days cant read behind the lines.

Its ok to have this kind of players, he wont have 3,5 mill a year, and if we wanna balance our books we need some avarage backups, that can step up a bit, not world class but average, and he is decent, but its freaking hard now, as he wont play until next year, but one thing i am not so worried about is our Midfield, i believe with Isla is coming we will cover a lot on that department.

We do need Defenders ( isla is part of it ), and maybe one more left back if Chivu does leave ( i hope ), and we are set to go.

DC is needed no matter what, and as well, even i do approve ( zarate ), but he cost to much, and i have to say he have to go when we are focused on Lavezzi.

I did read again once more goal.com, that Man UTD is focused once more on Snejder, and if he does leave we need a new AMC players that can support Alvarez and ( if Lavezzi comes ), as well we have to get rid of Forlan, and try to keep Pazzini ( even i am the probebly most hated person ) towards him, but let us give him a chance, If we sell him for around 15-18 mill then i am more then happy to offload.

This is gonna be a typical Inter summer lately. The press going crazy with a bunch of names, people getting happy and then nothing.
