I really hate these Lukaku links!

He is pushing to his 30s and his game style rely on his physique and he has already shown that he has had weight problems under 30 years old.

We don’t have Conte to work his mentality and ego and we don’t have Pintus to keep him in shape!

We don’t know will he be that useful under Inzaghi system? Conte system is more counter minded that suits Lukaku better.

If things don’t go as he has planned in his head there will be drama like at ManU and Chelsea…

He will be fucking expensive with no resale value and high salary.

If this deal don’t work it will set our finance back to stone age!

Just looking at the targets and ambitions of our rivals has me a bit worried:

Juventus: SMS/Pogba, Raspadori, Zaniolo, Milenkovic, Lodi
Milan: Scamacca, Sanches, Botman, Origi, Asensio
Inter: Dybala/Scamacca, Bremer, Frattesi

Juve & Milan look like they plan to spend some serious money. If the above targets come true, we could be left behind.

Juve are always linked with a ridiculous plethora of players, but usually end up only getting 1 of them - that said, Pogba/SMS - Locatelli - Zakaria is a horrifying prospect to play against for the foreseeable future.

I feel at least safe in the knowledge that we're targeting the best CB available.

Important difference this time is that they don't have Paratici to fuck things up. Their mercato looks a lot more focussed since Paratici left.

I'm not convinced about Raspadori. Very good player. While not similar, he will face similar issues as Lautaro. Not capable to lead the line on his own. He is not a playmaker. The role behind pure no. 9 works for him at a club like Sassuolo, but will not for a top team.

Exactly! I don’t get what is the point getting someone like Raspadori? We already have Lautaro, Correa and Sanchez. Is Raspadori better than any of them?

Scamacca also don’t strike me someone that is ready to play club like Inter or be our main striker? Maybe he can pull it off… but I have now seen few Sassuolo games and Im not that impressed about his work rate or positioning. He seem to adrift and times he is just lost or other players can’t get the ball to him? Maybe at better team there will be better service but this Sassuolo team also have pretty good players. His finishing also needs to improve and who knows maybe it will?

When the pressure hits and expectations hit trough the roof you have to have balls of steel!

He seems to be playing more as an AM this season and I think the role suits him tbh. From what I've seen I've been impressed by how well he moves the ball around and moves with the ball too. He's zippy and agile and has a good eye for a pass. Most importantly he seems to have a good sense of how and when to play.

I agree he's not a pure AM by any means but if anything he'd probably be a more functional #10 in our system than Lautaro or Correa. I don't include Sanchez because he's likely to leave.

Big no for Ceballos, he's mediocre at best while at Arsenal. Not really great shakes with Real Madrid either.
Ceballos on loan is ok, gives Hakan a bit of competition without draining our pockets.

According to Tuttoshit, Ausilio wants to bring Kovacic back in the summer.

I don't think that this will be possible, but let see.

I think he'd do well in any of our 3 midfield positions. With how much he'd cost, it wouldn't be worthwhile unless we're selling Hakan.

1. Lukaku, Scamacca whoever the club is willing to buy

2. Dybala on a free

3. Fratessi as an extra option in midfield

4. Bremer to relace De Vrij

5. A super sub who can affect the game when coming on someone with pace and creativity.

Sell Lautaro and de vrij
Get rid of vidal and sanchez

Get Sanchez to reduce his wages and keep him. He’ll give him an option in his contract to potentially get another extension next season.

He has been great.

Tho no one will give us money for him. Paying him 4 million to leave to give his replacement 1-3 million + a transfer fee makes 0 sense.

Also if he wants to leave for playing time and to be the main guy. We shouldn’t pay him for that. Leave for free with no handshake or stay for lower wages and be 3rd or 4th choice. No one would pick Correa over Sanchez
