His contract runs out next summer. If can't even get players from Monza with 1-year contract left, maybe we should give up trying to sign any player

So we need two goalkeepers, a centreback who can rotate with Darmian and a starting striker. At least. If we have to break-even and te numbers of Transfermarkt are right we have 80 mln for that. Something like Sommer ( 6 mln) and Troubin (15 mln) or Mamardashvili (25 mln) and a free back-up, Balogun (35 mln) and Sutalo (15-20 mln) seems doable isn’t it? If we can move Correa, Gosens, Sensi etc, we can make some more moves.

The striker log jam is the P$G signing of Vlahovic. After that, the scramble for other forwards will open up. As for Inter, they may have pay the freight on Sommer or move on to ?, If Gosens decides to go, Inter will have take the loss and try to quickly sign Augusto or Juve will.

Season starts in less than a month and it looks like any new signings may play one friendly with the team at most? Personally, i like Trubin and Samardzic.

Agreed on Trubin and Samardzic. I'm actually ok with Sommer as the experienced goalkeeper option as well. I prefer him over De Gea, Lloris, or whichever other option there is.

With the 3rd striker, I have them in this order: Balogun/Morata/Scamacca. Balogun for the young, potentially high reward option. I know people don't like Morata but I'd take him over Scamacca as the 3rd option, as Scamacca's injuries are a big risk imo and he's coming off a poor season.

Toloi is the one I have an issue with. We'd need to pay money to get him (I heard around 7 million?). For a guy who's slow, almost 33 that's a terrible deal - I also don't think he's as good of a CB as Acerbi is, who was the older option we went for. We could have offered a few million more and gotten Rodrigo Becao who went to Fenerbahce for 10 million I believe.

If Gosens is sold, we need to replace him, where Augusto would be the #1 option.

This time last year, no one thought Acerbi was as good of a CB as Acerbi is.

Eventually, our recent luck with signing older players who end up being good will run out, but until then, I'll give our management the benefit of the doubt.
