Calling him the best defender to wear our shirt is almost revolting, he's played less than ten games and has achieved nothing compared to the greats to wear our shirt. While he may become the best there is very little reason to think that at the moment when comparing him to Zanetti, Baresi, Cordoba, Samuel, Lucio, Maicon and so on. There is no need to hype him up so early, just let him develop as what he is, a young player and be pleasantly surprised with his performances and not constantly expecting more from him. I blame Miranda more, he was jogging around marking no one and just stood there raising his arms.

The goal was not solely because of him, it was awful miscommunication between him and Miranda.
What was exposed from him today is his vulnerability to speed and especially player with good acceleration. There were some moments when he struggled to keep up with the pace of his opponents. It is natural though as he is a tall defender. Fortunately, he is less prone to make a mistake unlike our tall Italian defender who sits on the bench now.
