Anybody post anything here.... I can't see it.

This is a pointless argument man. You want Vidic to get another opportunity. I want Andreoli to get an opportunity. Neither is gonna move from there. Nether has any way of actually affecting who actually gets the opportunity.

Moving along here. We'll see what happens.

Edit: BTW you are not on my ignore list, it was a joke based on an earlier argument on here.

If Mancio is meritocratic, both Andreolli and Vidic will start in place of Ranocchia and Juan after their woeful showing against Roma; fuck it, I'd go as far as replacing the fullbacks with D'Ambrosio and Nagatomo as well.

Andreolli has always been good for us in the past 18 months, and should be given a run of games. You talk of him only playing in 131 Serie A/B games by 28, but the early part of his career was spent at Inter with the likes of Materazzi, Cordoba and Samuel ahead of him , and then Roma where he was behind the real Juan, Panucci, Burdisso and Mexes. His 24 caps for the Azzurrini are representative of his early talent, but the stats show that he simply wasn't given enough invaluable game time early enough in his career to fulfil it. It's a wider issue for Italian football, as post-Calciopoli saw most of Calcio follow our lead and saturate the league with foreign mediocrity rather than give the young Italians the game time the previous generations were granted; two of the other
promising defenders from Andreolli's group Criscito and Bocchetti have spent the past 4 years in Russia because the former 'seven sisters' of Italian football were more interested in bringing in dubious talents from abroad.

Despite this, I still think Marco could emerge to become a dependable defender for us, while I see Vidic showing what he's all about soon

When a player makes a lot of U-21 appearances, but 0 senior national team appearances, it's down to more than simply "not being given any chances." He's just not that good, if he's not better than Burdisso who was always a liability, then how can seriously try to make a claim that he should be starting?

Vidic to United in January?

Nemanja Vidic is being linked with a shock return to Manchester United, as speculation is he may assess his Inter future under Roberto Mancini.

The Serbian international has struggled for fitness and to find space with the Nerazzurri since the Coach’s return to the club last month, with Andrea Ranocchia and Juan Jesus the regular starters so far.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Vidic is bound to sit out the next game – in which he was expected to feature – because of flu.

The paper report that whilst it is not the situation currently, the player is set to evaluate the possibility of an early exit from San Siro should he get to mid-January without further minutes under his belt.

Further reports indicate that the 33-year-old may already have mid-season interest from previous club Manchester United.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, indirect contacts have already begun from the English club to re-acquire the central defender.

Facing a number of injury problems in the Old Trafford defence this season, current manager Louis van Gaal is reportedly keen on Vidic’s return for the experience he can offer.

Vidic agreed to joined Inter from United last January, moving in July on a free transfer at the expiry of his contract.

Juve want Inter's Vidic

Juventus are reportedly interested in taking Nemanja Vidic from Inter in January.

According to La Stampa newspaper, the Bianconeri have identified the 32-year-old as a potential cheap reinforcement.

The ex-Manchester United defender has stuttered in Serie A so far this season and dropped further down the pecking order once Roberto Mancini replaced Walter Mazzarri at the helm.

Juventus are looking for a reliable defender, as Andrea Barzagli is still out of action with an Achilles tendon problem and his comeback date is unknown.

Vidic won't getting much playing time at JuBe either, whether Barzagli is injured or not. The guy is in the winter of his career.
