Anybody post anything here.... I can't see it.
This is a pointless argument man. You want Vidic to get another opportunity. I want Andreoli to get an opportunity. Neither is gonna move from there. Nether has any way of actually affecting who actually gets the opportunity.
Moving along here. We'll see what happens.
Edit: BTW you are not on my ignore list, it was a joke based on an earlier argument on here.
If Mancio is meritocratic, both Andreolli and Vidic will start in place of Ranocchia and Juan after their woeful showing against Roma; fuck it, I'd go as far as replacing the fullbacks with D'Ambrosio and Nagatomo as well.
Andreolli has always been good for us in the past 18 months, and should be given a run of games. You talk of him only playing in 131 Serie A/B games by 28, but the early part of his career was spent at Inter with the likes of Materazzi, Cordoba and Samuel ahead of him , and then Roma where he was behind the real Juan, Panucci, Burdisso and Mexes. His 24 caps for the Azzurrini are representative of his early talent, but the stats show that he simply wasn't given enough invaluable game time early enough in his career to fulfil it. It's a wider issue for Italian football, as post-Calciopoli saw most of Calcio follow our lead and saturate the league with foreign mediocrity rather than give the young Italians the game time the previous generations were granted; two of the other
promising defenders from Andreolli's group Criscito and Bocchetti have spent the past 4 years in Russia because the former 'seven sisters' of Italian football were more interested in bringing in dubious talents from abroad.
Despite this, I still think Marco could emerge to become a dependable defender for us, while I see Vidic showing what he's all about soon
