Also, I don't think Cannavaro was our best defenders in the second half of the season. I can count times he was brilliant but I can count more occassions in which he was terrible. IMO, Gamarra has been our best defender when he played. That wasn't much, but he impressed. Cordoba and Canna weren't so brilliant.

And this NT thing, JZ went for a single game because the imbecile Biesla threatened him and Crespo. Canna wasn't threatened and he risked half a season to captain the NT for a tournament. Again, he wasn't brilliant in the Euro either as some people said. He played okay for two games, got stupidly suspended and the team got out. That can't be a great tournament.

I can understand if a player goes for a game to the NT and upsets his club. It happens alot and it will still happen. What I don't understand is risking half a season from your club to captain your NT!!!

In my side's opinion, we think Canna was absolute twat, never played good, sucked for 2 seasons and especially last season plus he was VERY NORMAL IN PORTUGAL.

The other side thinks Canna was treated harshly, he was brilliant in the 2nd half of the season and in Portugal ( I am trying to see this from a neutral side but I fail because he did suck except for some matches) and above all YOU GUYS DEFEND HIS OPINION TO GO TO ITALY AND YOU STILL SAY HE IS NOT A TRAITOR AND "HE WANTED TO STAY WITH INTER RATHER THAN JOINING JUVE"

We will never accept each other's views and believe me guys, even if Canna helped Juve to lift the treble and took player of the year award I will not change my mind about him. Such an overrated defender, and I am sure my side will say the same.

Hamed somehow has got MY story mixed up, he believes that im saying Canna was a good player for us, er no Hamed far from what im saying.

My argument against u, isnt wether Canna was a good player my whole argument is on the bloody TRANFER details, forget performance.

This whole time ive been telling you, that giving Cannavaro to Juventus on a swap was stupid. What makes it worse is...On juves website they put a transcript of their transfer details.

They said this:
Cannavaro bought for $10million.
Carini sold for $10million.

at the beginning they bought carini for 4.8million, so did they gain Cannavaro and a profit of 5.2 on their keeper? and how much did we buy canna for

Back to my argument, i know he wasnt great with us. But my argument has two questions.

Why to juve?
Why so cheap?

Just imagine we gave him to Real madrid for 12 million, hence id of said thus is a good transfer, heck even to Juve, if we get money why not?!? but we got Carini, instead of money and to our main rivals. That to me is why i say its a bad transfer.

Because Real Madrid didn't want him, nobody did but Moggi. Real, and others, knew that he isn't exactly 100% and he will never survive in La Liga. I noticed something also about him as of late, he isn't running as much as he used to with us.

Maybe this kind of scheme with packing your own half with most of your players, like Juve do, suits him. There is less space to cover and you won't have to do extra duties, like he used to do with us. Now, he is more of a stay-home defender, plus he doesn't have to pass the ball that much, something that he is horrendous at.

I also can declare, with some flare , that he wouldn't survive with a team other than Juve. If he was with us, Milan, Roma or god forbid in his case, an EPL or a La Liga team, he'd burned in no time. I just want to see how he'd fare with the NT now that Lippi is thinking about employing an offensive-minded team.

And Helal, in your argument you used to mix the fact that we miss him with the fact that it was a mistake that we sold him. I don't know your exact position. Take a walk in a hot Australian desert, clear your mind and come up with a decision. Our side of the argument is alway opened to newcomers, and we embrace them with a kiss.

I too am curious to see how he does with Lippi's new offensive strategies. He played outstanding under trap at Euro 2004 I thought. One of the very few bright spots for Italy in that heartbreaking nightmare of a tournament we had.

I don't remember be knocked on the head during Euro04 and remember seeing every single minute of the italian NT (only 270 minutes ) and I don't recall Cannavaro playing brilliantly.

He played average and got needlessly disqualified for the last game. Now how can you call 180 average minutes with a suspension brilliant?

I doubt that the Chelsea rumor was factual. If they did and asked us for him for that much, i'm sure we would have sold him right away. Don't forget taht we sold Crespo, although he was good, when we got a good offer for him.

As for Capello, he's always used 2 dms (Emerson and Blasi - both pure defensive mids that barely contribute in offence) and even sometimes 3 dms in midfield.

Actually Thuram has been saving Cannavaro's :ass: a lot of times this season.

But obviously Cannavaro is a much better defensive option than the circus that Juve had last season.

That's crap. Surely Emerson did most of the job, but Cannavaro surely made immediate and influential impact too. Buffon-Thuram-Canna-axl have played together for ages, so naturally they can co-exist very easily since day one. About Capello, Lippi always played with two pure DMs too, that's nothing new.
