 That is in such bad taste from inter. I can't believe they didn't even farewell him. Frankly I'm disgusted. He was a loyal servant who never complained and always gave his best when called upon, but he doesn't even receive any thanks for this.

:yuck:

True.

Gamarra could have been a back-up for whatever our first team defence is. but I guess we have Mihajlovic or Materazzi for that.

Anyways, wherever Gamarra goes, I wish him the best of luck.

Call me an idiot, but I honestly think this is the first real mistake from our management in this transfer window. Really bad call.

Good for him. He deserved better during these three years he was with us. Under-used as hell.

I hope Inter recalls ex-players who have contributed in some way or the other (Zamarano & gang) for one exhibition game .... one big party ... it will be a good farewell for all those ex-players. This will improve our image as a club & we can also show our respect to all Inter ex-players.

I hope some day they do this !!!

I will be really happy

Palmeiras is his next club:

Internazionale defender Carlos Gamarra has agreed a deal to join Palmeiras.

The Paraguayan captain has been in talks with Palmeiras for some time after seeing out his contract at Inter.

Gamarra revealed that he rejected offers from other clubs to join Palmeiras.

"My agent has reached to an agreement with Palmeiras and I will play there for a year," commented Gamarra.

"From all the offers that I received from Brazilian teams the most important one was from Palmeiras.

"On Monday I will be arriving in Sao Paulo to start work at my new team."

Best of luck Gamarra. When Inter first bought Gamarra, I was damn happy as I had been following him since 1998 World Cup, but sadly we never used him that much. He had to leave last year but Inter extended his contract at the very last moment after we gifted Cannavaro to Juventus.

FORZA GAMARRA !! :star:

Gamarra could have been THE MAN at this club. But alas it just wasn't to be. He was still a great professional throughout his Inter experience though and for that I'd like to congratulate him. Good luck at Palmeiras. Hopefully they treat you like the defensive star you are.

I was so excited when we signed him after the WC. He was soo great in Korea/Japan. Have you ever heard of a star defender who went a tournament without a foul?

Very good CD, but was sadly under-used by pretty much every coach we had. Still, he didn't complain about it which counts for alot in my book.

Good luck to him at Palmeiras!
