I really don't get all the over-optimistic people over here. I understand about supporting and not judging from the cover, but let's look at our club's track record first!

I think the Cambiasso transfer made us forget few things. That almost all of the 'no-name'-players fail with us. Cambiasso passed, but Brechet, Morfeo, AVDM, Farinos etc. etc. failed! Maybe it's not the players faults, but they didn't cut it.

In any other pre-season, I'd welcome Wome with open-arms, but frankly, I've had enough of these half-solutions. I have hopes in a player that is unknown, only to be disappointed that he doesn't play well, or can't get a chance.

And being okay will not win you a damn thing. Favalli is okay, and so is Wome, and so will be finishing trophyless!

Milan have Kaladze/Maldini, Juve have Zambrotta/Chiellini, Arsenal have A.Cole, Chelsea Bridges/DelHorno, ManU Heinze, Barca Gio, Bayern Lizarazu/Lahm. Do you see my point? Great teams that have expectations have at least one great player as an LB. We are pathetic compared to them!

I don't care putting up with being robbed of matches, but I can't stand being screwed by our own management. It's so depressing.

And it's not too early now. The retreat is supposded to start in two weeks or so, and if I am not mistaken, we have the CL pre-lim in a month time.

When will the team gel? While facing Juve in the leauge?

What I want to say is I totally agree with every single word with Frisko in this transfer.

Plus, we're talking about the REAL football world instead of a fantasy game, isn't it?
Those who starts bashing Wome and the whole Inter management without a hesitation,
have you ever seen the performance of Wome before? (I'm not even asking you watch
Eupoean football regularly, like EPL or Serie A, but at least, if you watched WC 2002, then
you would have an idea who is Wome) Or on the other hand, do you really know how
good Chivu or Samuel is, recently? The fact is, Chivu played unstably (i.e. the coppa
Italia final with us, just count how many fouls he made to compensate his mistake
in the 2nd leg), and the Wall is marked as the most disappointing player in La Liga 04/05.

I'm not saying Chivu or Samuel ain't good for us, but Man, it's not that simple to point at someone
who you only know from the freaking PC/PS game Championship manager or Winning eleven 11,
just because they have so many 20s or 99s in their distribution, then you say they are good
or not, WATCh them in the real world then make a comment, please.

Furthermore, be constructive guys. As someone said, after all it's only a one-year contract with him,
even Wome turns to be another Brechet or Coco, it's not the end of the world and Inter will not
collapse due to this deal.

Have a nice day.

one player that if we get would solve ALL our left side problems(left back, left midfield, left wing) would be jaun pablo sorin,a great damn player,i dont know why wouldnt we think of him, other than him,i would say that the LB place now is quit good, except also if cole comes, other than these 2 players,i dont see any other good lbs,and dont say chivu,he is a CB,if we want to get a cb and play him lb we might as well put cordoba.

This transfer sounds ridiculous, but I won't judge him before I see him. I didn't judge Cuchu either. He won't be starter, so let the man try. Favalli will be our man and Wome fighting behind him. He wants to be proud.

Ever heard of the statement:

"form is temporary, class is permanent" ?

Wome may not be a bad player but he's DEFINITELY not in the league of Zambrotta or Jankulovski. THOSE are our rivals, we should compare our players to theirs. Sadly we're far inferior in that left back department.

Favalli and Wome ? Not good enough for Inter. For Messina they'd be awesome though. :star: Hell, Messina have a better left back in Parisi than we do.

Now that we've signed Wome, we'll most probably settle for the two as left-backs.

See you next season (2006-07)...

lol nice one dutch.

i kinda agree with what Dutch said. Lets have a look at the situation. We do NOT have that much money, esepcially if we buy a player like Chivu or Samuel.

2nd, Wome has played in Italy for a very long time, alomsot 10 years now. 3rdly, his FREE. If it doesnt work out he can be on his way.

But his a good squad player! u guys dont make sense, u complain that we need more squad players instead of super stars and then when it happens your not happy because u wanted better quality.

Now against Juve, Milan etcc we can play Favalli, but against teams like Cagliari and Lecce who have good attacking wingers, Wome would do much better then Favalli considering the speed he has.

Now all we need to do is get rid of Coco. So be happy we just bought a great backup LB for FREE. Thats how i see it.

Helal, offcourse is Wome a good player, but wait a week, now everybody is dissapointed that we haven't got a Samuel or a Chivu, but Wome. Between now and a week, everybody can have a realistic judgement about Pier.

I don't know from where you got the line up, maybe your PS2/xbox playing some sort of football game, but as far as the transfer market goes, Oddo is still at Lazio, Samuel still at Mardrid, and Chivu at Roma.
Now, if you really want to compare your merda line up, versus ours, use players BOTH SIDES HAVE.
Dang, I did not know that this was a Pro Evo soccer/Winning Eleven 8 line up topic.

Oh My, I should have welcomed Wome but is someway I'm not in mood to do so, it's not his foult, and I'm not bashing him. It's our board that is to be blamed once again they have managed to screw it up and too those who think this is a good deal then you have to wake up and realise that you don't win major trophies with players like Wome. We need to have one extremly good player on every position and frankly we don't have that on our LB position. Wome is not gonna win us anything.

And I have actually seen this guy and he have been bad the moste of the times. SO PLEASE GIVE ME A BREAK

There's always a few level-headed characters here who will try be optimistic and speak positively about the most negative of things.

Frankly I say F-CK THAT! Wome is not good enough for Inter. I'd rather use COCO! YOU HEARD ME, COCO!!!!!!!

Obviously, this is not the transfer that I want but I have learnt my lesson from Cambiasso that I shall not curse a transfer before I see him play. It is true that Cambiasso happens 1 out of 10 times. Hmmm, perhaps I should curse him and let him prove me wrong. :D

It is obviously not the best transfer since Chiellini is available and doesn't wanna stay in Juve.

U hear this shitty rumor just a day ago, and in one day this piece of crap signs for us.

Piece of crap? Congratulations, you just won the worst post of the week award, here’ a lollypop! The guy isn’t a Dede or a Zambrotta, but he’s no ******* Serie reject for **** sake. My only regret would be the fact that…

Hamed said:
this mean we will not sign a LB? We will depend on Favalli next season as well?

I'm not saying Favalli is crap, but I find it somewhat distressing that he's considered good enough for us :blind: (Besides, he made Pasquale leave  :D )

As far as how good he is, I’ve only seen him during his Bologna days, and that’s a quite a while ago. Not to mention the 2002 World Cup and the African Cup of Nationals (Wome missed the first penalty, but that didn’t stop Cameroon winning the tournament) and the racist chants he had to endure when Brescia faced Roma. Some interesting Wome trivia!

Pierre Nlend Wome
Position : Defender (LB, he’s not CB! So stop comparing him with Samuel )
Date of birth : 26/3/79
Team : Bologna (Italy)
Caps: Over 60 (That I’m sure of…)
Held the record for the youngest player to appear at the African Nations Cup finals (16 years and three months) for a day before it was broken by Sierra Leone's Mohammed Kallon. Gained two red cards in internationals last year for his aggressive tackling. Made two appearances for Vicenza in Serie A in 96-97 before being loaned to Lucchese of Serie B.
MoH’s untrusting conclusion: He can cross, but the majority here think of him as a great crosser, so that’s a good sign. What I can honestly tell you he’s a tough tackling defender (He broke Quaresma back in his Barcelona days, which many fans think was the cause of the young Portuguese disappointing Barca adventure) and as was pointed earlier he’s quite fast, I wonder if he’s faster than Cordoba? Hmm...Nonetheless, now comes the bad news, ever since he left Italy he has somewhat failed to establish himself both with Fulham and Espanyol (Hell they singed Domi instead, yes Didier Domi)

womePRIMA35.jpg

Wome celebrating the equalizer he scored against Milan (I sure hope Inter retires the number 32 :moan: )
