Is the Greek league followed by regular people (beyond fans) in the south of the country? Every time I'm there if there's a Greek game even in the second division people in the cafes bars etc. watch rather Greek than any foreign football. But I haven't been south of Larissa in ages so dunno if it goes for the whole country.

Views on Tio Cipot? @wera @IM21

@Glass box to answer bluntly, people don't care about football in Greece, they just want a reason to brag about something and diminish someone else based on other people's achievements.
Everyone knows it's rotten beyond its core but they're still watching because it enables them to say to someone else that his team beat the other team no matter what.

And since they don't care about football but just this kind of activity, they're not really eager to watch continental stuff.
The ones that do are mostly betting.

This is pretty much everywhere nowadays of course. Very few people are watching football because they like it.

Is someone from greece interested?
Cipot is probably the best young player/prospect in the league, but still needs some more time to develop. His 2 year older brother was also a telent, but he kinda stagnated... thats a problem with Slovenian league, you kinda never know what you gonna get. With Čerin, he at least played well in Croatian league, which is levels above Slovenian league.

Probably a done deal with my club but not sure if he's going to stick around.

Reports in slovenia saying Tio Cipot could move to Serie A, as the club has already received an offer from one of the clubs.
There were also reports about interest from Kobenhavn and Rapid Vienna.

Seriously fuck these fucken idiots nobody wants this. First of we already have enough games, further more nobody could compete with the european teams any ways so what the fucken point? Yes maybe every now and the there is 1 or two teams from SA that can compete. Still does not make any sense to make this shit a 32 teams competition.
Once again kindly go fuck your selfe gianni

Was probably Hal's fault. Card was probably declined at the bar. 😁

Fans are unhappy that the league has sold the "Grand Final" to Sydney for the next few years. Until now it has always been that a team can earn the right to play the Grand Final at home if they qualify from a high enough position. That goes out the window now and all Grand Finals for the next 3 years (I think) will be played in Sydney, even if two Melbourne teams are playing, for example.

Fans have seen it as a slap in the face and are protesting. Personally, I shrugged my shoulders at the decision, because the game is bleeding money here at the moment.

Unsurprisingly, things have gone too far here. If you give a dumb cunt the opportunity to display how dumb of a cunt they are, they will seize it.

I am not sure if Fitzy will agree with me on this but the way I see it, this behaviour is just Melbourne Victory fans being the cunts they are.

While the rest of the league protests in an orderly manner by walking out at the 20th minute, not showing up whatsoever or being present but silent, Melbourne Victory supporters have to take things to far and bring the whole sport into disrepute.

The Australian Professional League has a lot to answer for. Their incompetence knows no bounds and the worst part about it is that when the National team plays, the whole country gets behind them. But for some strange reason, they can not harness that support to help build the sport.

It is little wonder why the Federal Government refuses to adequately fund football in Australia: because the governing body is so fucking inept that there is no way the Government would support the sport with funding.

The decision to give the Final to Sydney is just another shit decision in a litany of shit decisions. it will also be the last straw as the fans are well and truly heading for the gates.

I agree with all that you've said apart from the last bit. The guaranteed money is a "good" call, in the circumstances. It's the inept decisions before it that have led to that call (if that makes sense). The problem is that everyone who knows the game here knows why they've done it, and I think that's where it comes from. And then... Let dumb cunts be dumb cunts.

There are so many talented kids around here, who give it up to try League. I'm talking about REALLY talented kids.

I was talking to a mate about his son playing football. He is about nine years old but it costs over a $1,000 for him to play for a club outside his school.

Due to the exorbitant cost, he elected to play Australian Rules because it costs $150 per season in comparison.

There may be alot of really talented kids but they are hardly coming through the system.

Yeah man the costs are ridiculous. There is a lot of work to do.

What happened to the Panathinaikos game?
Cops being cops.

And Panathinaikos has the next home game vs PAOK and there's several shit going on as they pretty much control the football federation with AEK at the moment (yet Olympiakos pulls the strings as usual) and they're having arguments. I'm guessing they're trying to get the game to be played with no fans. Succeeded with similar attempts in the past.

No idea how no one died today.
