The Phenomenon
I really want to see Icardi sit on the bench this time. Jovetic as the main striker, and Perisic and Ljajic as the support.

keep on dreaming...reality : Manaj as the main striker, and Palacio and Biabiany as the support..:D
next time we should try to predict the line up with shit players, then Mancini will start with good players.. it seems like Mancini doesn't like when people trying to predict something ..

That's a lot easier to predict, he will make them when the match is over, guaranteed.

What y'all about? Jovetic can't play as the main striker. Icardi needs to play.

Actually he can play as a CF.

Then we'll have no presence up front. We'll still have to rely on Jovetic coming deep to create everything for us.

Yes but a CF needs to stay near the box. Jovetic doesn't do that. He likes to drop deep to get the ball.

Jojo CF and Ljajic SS but that doesn't seem likely as Ljajic is already on Mancio's ignore list it seems.
Also Mancini won't drop Icardi...

What's your excuses of wanting to drop Icardi this time? Was he bad last game? Definitely. But was he the reason why we cant organize a proper attacking threat? Definitely no. Putting Perisic, Jovetic and Kondogbia there to create something out of nowhere, with Icardi in front of them would solve the problem imo. Also benching Icardi wont affect his confidence at all, he is not onto that kind of bullshit. Also he wont be dropped anyway.

On the other hand we won more games with Jovetić as our main striker than Icardi. Naturally, some of us would rather see Jovetić play as our main CF and have Icardi come on for him in the second half.

Agree on that.
SS is where he does the best job, Ljajic would fit as SS in pair with Jojo very well, but since Mancini prefers wing players (even they don't play on natural positions) that's not gonna happen anytime soon. Imho that should be our back-up plan if Perisic drops out from starting 11 for any good reason.

Why is he not apart of the reason? He is the main attacking outlet supposedly, and surely he should be held partly accountable for the lack of output from the side? Maybe he needs to do a better job of finding space? Maybe he needs to be less predictable? Maybe he's been told to just stay central as a reference point of course, but personally I thought he was more dangerous towards the end of last season when he was moving around to find the ball more.

Ohh yeah agreed, sorry I should've said "the only reason". Of course he is part of the reason, in fact he was given few good balls but he couldnt even manage to touch the ball, was so weak between the defenders and didnt make intelligent runs like he used to. Also his first touches were poor. I dont know if he was being instructed to stay up front more and not tracking back, its logical since we have Perisic and Jovetic, as opposed to last season we only had Palacio so he was being told to track back and receive the ball. Or maybe he is just being lazy, because his other contributions were poor so this is another logical reason.

Fact remains that midfield is too defensive and they cant rely on Perisic and Jovetic only, we need Kova. But as for now Kondogbia should do a good job.

The CF doesn't have to just stay in the box waiting for the ball, like an unmovable object or something. He needs to be involve in team-play and create space/chances for his teammates. That's just as important as them scoring goals.

the thing is, Icardi was actually decent dropping low. He is one of the best if not our best crosser, he can hold on the ball and he was improving on link up, this season is like he is in an island

Nice update bro.

IMO i believe in a win. Palermo has few dangerous players, but is generally very disorganized team. We also haven't won in 3 games. Close down Vasquez so that Gila doesnt get any balls, and watch for Lazaars overlap.

Yeah last season MI9 was very involved in the build up play now his role has changed.

Inter (4-3-1-2): Handanovic; Santon, Miranda, Murillo, Juan Jesus; Guarin, Felipe Melo, Medel; Perisic; Jovetic, Icardi.

Palermo (3-5-1-1): Sorrentino; Struna, Gonzalez G., Andelkovic; Rispoli, Hiljemark, Maresca, Rigoni, Lazaar; Vazquez; Gilardino.

latest predicted line up that I saw on FCINTER1908 for the Palermo game

Palermo has 2 Slovenians Struna and Andelkovic and they are never called up for our NT and I don't know why tbh.Probably too young for our NT boss...I hate coaches who don't like young players:palm:

Let's not start calling him MI9 please.

No Kondogbia again. Makes sense, considering Guarin is the vastly superior player.
