I think that since JCesar obviously couldn't continue, Mancini brought on Dacourt to make sure Orlandoni had enough cover. Remember this is an away game against a tough Palermo. Maybe he thinks not losing is more important than winning at this stage. With Dacourt and Cuchu on, the defense would be more solid, after 20 minutes or so, when he is sure we aren't forced into any other subs, he will bring on Figo for Cesar. I don't think he had a choice really
