Patrick was not included in the latest Danish Under-21s, which was a bit surprising. Last national break, he was already speaking about taking the step up to the A team, but as mentioned before he has had issues with the Danish FA management due to his behavior off the pitch.
Patrick currently stands in the shadow of another young, creative MC, Pierre-Emil Højbjerg, who is from 1995 and actually had more playing time for his club - even though that club is FC Bayern! Patrick recently told the Danish press that he himself refused a loan move to Brescia because he liked to do things the hard way sometimes - and that he wanted to work his way into the Inter squad.
I still fear that he is hindered by the fact that we have to pay his former club Brøndby ½ million € when Patrick gets his debut. It is a terrible clause to have in a young players contract, but on the other hand it should be peanuts for Inter if we really believe in Patrick.
