Barca has been interested in him for a long time. Remember that Toure and Keita will be out with African Cup for a month or so.

Busquets and Marquez are better than Vieira at VM. But that doesn't mind since he is likely leaving to Manchester City. Good luck over there.

good luck viera, finish his inter career just like he started it by having a great match just like he did in the super cup, in todays match he was our best player i though, probably his best match in our black and blue, he was very unlucky in his time here especially with injuries, i can only wish him the best of luck as he never acted badly or tried to destabilize the team. thank you patrick for ur professionalism

Finally he's gone. I've never thought that we'll ever see this day. This is one of the greatest moments in Inter's history.

If he had played all the Inter-matches this way, we cant say any wrong word about him.

He was great today, i think ,he was the best, im cuious how much GdS will give him. (6,5 - 7 ?)

Allowing Vieira to leave mid-season may cause us difficulties in the second half of the season. Muntari, Cambiasso and Motta are/and or have struggled with injuries this season. Given his last few matches in an Inter jersey, Vieira still had something to offer. Allowing him to leave mid-way through the season is risky and replacing him with the likes of Baptista would be a joke.

They are still laughing at us in Rome as a result of our purchasing Mancini. Lets not give them the opportunity of offloading another sack of potatoes on us.

All the best for the future Patrick!

Yeah, but it was more Vieira's decision than Inter's. It wouldn't be reasonable to keep Vieira against his will. He wants to play in the WC and that's why he wants to play.

Vieira will get another injury and out for 2 months if we keep him for another week. It's a miracle he didn't got injured in Chievo.

I bet he will get injured in his debut or at least his second match with City

I do not think this is a risk. Mainly because Viera himself is more injury prone than all of the names you mentioned above (perhaps Motta beats him to it). So the fact that he has been free of injury for a while and played his best half for us in more than 2 years should is an exception and not the norm – soon he will fall apart again.

I do however agree with the Baptista part.

I want to prove to [Manchester City coach] Roberto Mancini that I am the same player when he was on the Nerazzurri bench.

:D. The biggest problem with Vieira is that he never realized how crap he was for us. Vieira and Mancini arent exactly bffs, I really fail to see why he is getting him. But Grazie Mancini, still helping us after leaving.

Vieira, in a way, is kinda like Adriano. He'd get our hopes high after a couple of good performances before he disappoint us again either by walking on the field nonchalantly or getting injured for the umpteenth time.

I'd say that this transfer is perfect for us.

Still, I won't forget to say much thanks to Vieira for his role in helping us secure our first Scudetto in 06/07. Good luck Patrick.

He came to us late in his career and after his first season at Inter he just declined. I never really liked seing him on the pitch but I respected him as a player neverhelees.

So thank you Patrick fof what you have done for us, and good luck
