Even after a game like this, there is an actual reason to lash out at Gagliardini! For he is the sole responsible of Lukaku not receiving 100% of all MOTM votes due to one single vote being given to him! Despite that, Lukaku stands strong at an astonishing 97,3% MOTM votes to earn his third MOTM of this season. Moreover, he also broke the single performance record of this season - previously also being awarded to him.

What did you think of this game? Did VAR save our ass? Is Lukaku stronger than Machamp? Did we see a similar attitude compared to the game against Sassuolo? Is 3-5-2 just better working than the 3-4-1-2?

Darmian's and Bastoni's ratings are too high in my opinion. Bastoni allowed multiple clear cut chances and Darmian is the reason we conceded the first goal.

Sanchez was my lowest rated player after he gifted the second goal to Gladbach.

I thought in general our defense was a little more shaky than vs Sassuolo.

Even on the right side, Skriniar, sometimes in combination with a covering de Vrij, still managed to let Thuram/... go through to the centre of the box. Or they had to foul them.

Luckily we were more clinical and we got a 10/10 VAR performance. Even though I'm not a big fan of milimeter offsides, I'll easily bite my own tongue in this situation and just try to be happy .
