A 15-year-old footballer from Shannon in County Clare has penned a three-year deal with Italian giants Inter Milan.

Ryan Patrick Nolan joins the San Siro side from Spanish club Torre Pacheco. He had attracted attention from Swedish side Malmo and English Premier League outfit West Brom prior to signing for Inter.

Nolan lived in Ballycasey before relocating to Spain six years ago. His aunt, Heather Nolan is well known in golfing circles in Shannon.

Nolan can play right-back or centre-back, and will join the Inter youth academy.

He is not the first Irishman to play in Italy’s Serie A which has also been home to Thomas Coggins, Paddy Sloan, Liam Brady, Ronnie O’Brien, and Robbie Keane who signed with Inter Milan in 2000.

According to The Herald, FAI scouts will this week follow up on the teenager and “confirm his eligibility and his interest, if any, in playing for the Ireland U16 side”.

We are interested in Bari's 17 year old right back Giuseppe Scalera.

CalcioMercato says Inter sent a couple of scouts to monitor the youngster who's called the new Maicon. He is described as a great attacker and an aware defender.

Giuseppe won this year's best defender award for the class of 98. Bari's former manager Devis Mangia chose him in the senior squad because of his ability to play in a back three or four defensive setup. We have a domestic competition on the kid from Roma & Juve (their interest died down lately) and an English one from Chelsea and Arsenal.

Keep in mind, CalcioMercato lists this as a signing for the first team but realistically, the kid who plays with Bari's Primavera C has little chance to be a starter on Inter's right flank when D'Ambrosio is our only first team rightback once Jonathan leaves this summer.

Aside from a report from PuntoTV, the only long video for him on YouTube is from a game between Bari and Pescara (I still hate dolphins)

There is a hole in your theory of me hating Slovenians. What I am saying (or was saying) is that Handanović is not the best goalkeeper in the world and that Birsa is definately not what Milan needs. I like Iličić, Krhin and Kampl of our players right now, the others are not worth the mention.

Funny thing, I know somebody from Krško with the same surname, so I'll ask him about him, I think he is his cousin or something like that.

calciomercato.com says that the operation was a collaboration by Samaden and Ausilio, and that Fabio Egulefi, who spent last year on loan at AC Prato, will head to Cremona as part of the deal.
Manaj will sign a contract until 2020 with bonuses based on appearances and goals, he has been convinced by the project presented to him by Inter - being the young striker closest to the first team following the departures of Bonazzoli and (soon) Puscas.

Another name mentioned that could move the other way is Francesco Forte who was on loan at Lucchese
