England is not playing great now but he has done a damn good job with them all together if you ask me.

How? By losing 1-0 against Northern Ireland??

One thing Sven hasn't understood so far is that his tactics of 1-0 up, defend usually leads to 1-0 up, 2-1 down, England win nothing again.
How many times has England under Sven let go of a 1-0 lead only to lose, simply because they tried to defend with 10 players?
That's not part of the english game..

england dosent have a good squad, there players r so overrated, each time they do something, media makes it so huge, thats y the english team looks great, but its not really that good. Looney toones & beck r pronanly two of the most overrated overhyped player in the world of foootball today. If onlu england had a tougher group, i m sure they would have failed to qualify. Anywayz there journey to the WC is going to be a short one, They will get knocked out of the group stages.

I don't think that their squad is bad. they actually have a really decent squad. their problem might be attack, with rooney being their best striker. but midfield and defense are really fine. but as said, sven plays against their nature and that's why they fail.

England's main problem IMO is, as I've said, that Sven tries to play Gerrard and Lampard together. While they certainly are 2 of the best central midfielders in the world, they are much too similar to work together as the only 2 central midfielders. It is like trying to play Trezeguet and Van Nistelrooy. They are doomed to fail!

If only Sven takes of his Beckham-blinders and realise that sacrificing him to let Scott Parker in who would allow Gerrard & Lampard to resume their clubs' roles, I am confident that their midfield would be one of the most solid in the world.

France also made it through with there 4-0 victory over cyprus, spain got a 6-0 victory with a hatrick from Torris, but still have to go the play offs, after serbia won their game. Czech also went through. The biggest surprise was ireland, they failed to win agaisnt switzerland and as a result are out of the WC. European champions Greece & Denmark both won, but failed to qualify as Turkey, after the dissapointment of losing out for the qualification of euro, got there football back on track, and secured themselves a palyoff spot.
Still, its tough for all those who have playoff spots, Czech, Turkey, Switzerland, Slovakia, Norway & Spain fighting it out for the remaining three spots.

As expected, Frank Lampard plays 10 times better when he's partnered by a ball-winner, just like Makelele did for Chelsea. I am convinced that the same would happen for Gerrard if he's used with a ball-winner, not with Lampard. Great goal by Lampard btw! :star:

The players who impressed me the most though, not saying that he was the MoM, was Luke Young, the Charlton right full-back. He must have covered hundreds of miles yesterday. :star:

I assume that either u r from denamrk or greece, either way, turkey r a seeded team for the paly offs, this means that they wont get czech or spain, they can get switzerland, norway & slovakia, highly unlikely that they will lose to anyone of these three teams.

Swiss are not bad, but Turkey has a lot better squad. ( I unfortunately can't say the same about our manager whom I believe got the job unfairly)
So we are pretty confindent about beating the Swiss.

I also understand why you say the turkish soccer is boring. To be honest that is not true. We have a lot of good offansive players and the team is always playig offence. However the recent speculations in the media forced the managers to play not for the sake of football but for tgetting points. I am sure that the world cup will be different where you will see the real Turkey.
