Italy in 06 had a hilariously easy route, perhaps vindicated by beating Germany in the semis.

A group of Ghana/Czech/USA was not hard, and their first two knock out games were Australia (who they barely beat) and Ukraine.

it was mentioned. Plus that first sterling chance was an offside that was called by the ref not the linesman which is weird as it was miles offside.

I'm not questioning how good Greece was, but you can't deny teams like Italy/Germany being knocked out early, was a deciding factor in them winning.
