Inter Evaluating Raul Meireles On Loan

Important updates have arrived from Sky regarding the Raul Meireles front. The Portuguese midfielder is at odds with Fenerbahce and the long suspension in the league (11 matches reduced to 4 for spitting on the referee) has done much to annoy the player. As explained by Sky, a loan deal has been proposed specifically to Inter with the player as well as Fenerbahce would not object this solution.

Now Inter are evaluating everything with Andrea Stramaccioni but this track for the midfield is an absolute one to follow.

His initial ban was 12 games including spitting at ref, but it was reduced to 4 since it was decided that he did not spit and the ban was given because of unprofessional behavior etc.

Seems like the Paulinho alternative. If we can't make a move for Paulinho now because the Corinthians president want's to keep him for one more run at the Libertadores than it makes sense. Make a move for Fernando and loan Meireles, then get Paulinho in the summer. Much rather just get Paulinho now and let him spend the second half of this season getting the adjusting out of the way, so he's firing on all cylinders come next season.
