what kind of midfielder is he?? i remember reading somewhere he's a trequartista, but gasperini won't have a great need for midfielders in that position...

He plays as AM or LM mostly but works well on the right as well. He is quite versatile. As an AM he moves like Kaka.

He is a left sided outfield player, virtually describable as a Winger.

Weakness; main dependency to get the ball onto his left foot.

Strengths; 6'2", guile, passing range, crossing, vision.

Errr.. Ricky is a midfielder. Recoba is a striker. Ricky plays more like Kaka than Recoba.

Owww my miatake.. I thought he can play as a wf/ss.

I believe he can play where Pandev usually plays, but it is not the role where Recoba used to play.

Given how versatile Ricky, Wes and Eto'o, as 3 of them can play left or right while Wes and Ricky can play centre also, Pazzo and Milito are gonna get lots of orgasms this season.

The brilliant thing about Eto'o is he can play on any side. Left, Right or even the Centre he is just that damn good and can shoot and score with either foot with no complications as long as he has space.

Ricky on the other hand basically just has a right foot to prop on, so putting him on the right side of midfield would be foolish.

You obviously aren't aware of modern football tactics where players are now being played on the opposite wings, to allow them to cut back on their stronger foot and attack the weaker side of the defender.

not true, if u watch the highlights of the guy, he's equally adept at playing on both sides of the pitch. albeit with mostly his left foot

Of course I am, I just prefer Ricky to stay on the left and graft Eto'o to the right. Not like Eto'o will stay there, he pops up where ever he wants really, cause that's just how cool Eto'o is.
