From the extended highlights I saw, looked like a typical Gagliardini match against Estonia: worked hard on the basics and did them well to a point but just lacks that final bit of finesse or technique. Had a very good chance to score but failed to anticipate the ball coming to him and didn't get his feet organized in time. Even on the penalty he won, he was trying (very clumsily) to dribble past the Estonia defender and got a soft call.
