Also it s not like he insulted inter he just said what everybody could see during this summer. IMHO he only said what he and everybody else saw, also mancinis response sounds like a bitter bitch. Who cares if gulit never coached he has a point, and mancini does not adress the accusations at all all he does is give some bs answer about how gulit never was a coach and thus is jealous.

This. But I don't blame Mancini alone. I also blame everybody else responsible for this terrible America tour.

Mancini's argument about Gullit being jealous is just puerile, though I liked how he complimented his ability as a player in order to criticize his failure as a coach afterwards, quite poignant.

That being said, Gullit is pretty spot on, we had talent last season as well, and Mancini wasn't able to fully utilize it in the best possible way. The fitness levels of our players at this moment are just embarassing, it's a stain on Mancini's resumé that he handed the team over to De Boer in such a bad shape.

This is not a surprise the guy looked like he couldn't give less of a fuck during the summer.

Maybe he wanted us to sign Toure because the rest of our squad would have looked like well-conditioned monsters relative to Toure.

Roberto Mancini has “no regrets” about returning to Inter, but warns “Juventus are on a different planet”.

Mancio left his post as Inter Coach this summer, having disagreed with the new Chinese ownership about the direction of the club.

“I don’t have any regrets and I won’t say today I was wrong to accept,” Mancini explained to Corriere dello Sport.

“It was an important challenge, I’m convinced that I wasn’t wrong to go back to Milan. Unfortunately I didn’t finish he mission, but it remains a positive experience.

“There were important steps forward, there’s now a basic team there which wasn’t there before. In that respect I regret not finishing the job like last time.

“My departure? We shook hands like good friends. The relationship is good and I have no reason to hold grudges against the Nerazzurri, just as I don’t think they hold them toward me.

“The resolution was consensual, we were unable to take the same path to achieving the goals Inter must always have in front of them: the Scudetto and the Champions League.

“I’ll remain an Inter fan, of course.

“What would I change? Maybe January, where Inter had a total blackout. Unfortunately that can happen when you’re re-opening a cycle.

“If a few defeats had been turned into draws, we’d probably have gone on to make the [Champions League] preliminary rather than Roma.

“Even in 2004 we started with small steps but we eventually reached the summit.”

Some have suggested that transfer activity was the main reason for Mancini’s departure, does he regret not being able to bring Manchester City’s Yaya Toure to San Siro?

“Yaya was always one of my goals,” the Coach admitted.

“We had almost sealed his purchase with President [Erick] Thohir a year ago, then he preferred not to betray Manchester City, where I took him.

“Toure, like [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic is one of those players who can make the difference, who can change the outcome of a season by themselves like Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Today, Juve are on another planet from every point of view. But if a club had taken Ibra or Yaya, they’ve have fought with the Bianconeri for the title. I’m sure of it.

“I’m not just talking about Inter, I mean Milan, Napoli, Roma, Fiorentina… the big clubs, in short.

“Paulo Dybala? I tried to take him from Palermo to Inter, but he chose Juve. He’s a champion, one who can approach Messi.

“Who can challenge Juve? Napoli, Roma, Inter, Milan, Fiorentina and Lazio can all cause problems in a one-off game. They have very interesting young talents.

“[Napoli President Aurelio] De Laurentiis has invested the €90m [from Juventus] for [Gonzalo] Higuain in major talents - those investments will bear fruit in time.”

We should've grabbed Toure before he went to City. It was too late when Mancini started asking for him.

Most of those goals weren't decisive. They came when City were already in the lead, often in huge routs. Not what I would call a game-changer.

Yaya was a game changer for years at City. Without a doubt one of the top midfielders in the game for a 2-3 year span. However that time frame certainly didn't include last year and I don't think he will continue to be a game changer going forward.

The Chinese have stated that they want to make Inter one of the best and most powerful clubs in Europe. Obviously that goal collides with Mancini.
